That is simply not true regarding comparison of costs, unless you are buying resource potion when you are below TH level 9.

For a TH9, you have 7 gold, 7 lix, and 2 dark collectors - total 16. They cost 10 gems each to boost for 24 hours, so that is 160 gems. The resource potion costs 115 gems.

The training boost costs are 30 for barracks, 10 for spells, and 5 for each hero, so a total of 45-60 depending on how many heroes you have. That potion costs 25 gems.





Each item is always offered at the same price (except when a freebie). Different players get different items offered, but anyone who is offered a (non free) training potion will be offered it for 25 gems, anybody offered wall rings will be getting 2 for 400 gems.

It's actually a better deal since it cost 30 gems to boast one drill. So for a th9 it's 200 gems to boast all collectors

I keep forgetting that drills are more to boost and that it varies with level.

Then don't buy them. You don't need anything he's offering for anything, so only take what you want. The offers are random, so he'll offer a freebie when he feels like it

Can you please expand on the items he can provide? Is it limited to a certain group or are all items up for grabs as freebies?

I'm pretty sure I commented in the Patch Notes or Clan Games thread (can't remember which), but no worries. The offers are random, including the free one.
