I've been getting a Light spell on my DE as well but I just resolve the issue by... Let's say...

I always get lightning on my DE and it sucks.
Lol, I'm a TH8 and i generally get lightning'd alot by other TH7/8s.
I lose around 1.3-2.3k DE each day. When i moved to crystal 2, i got demolished alot so now i stay at Gold2, getting lightning'd by premmies.
Go to Crystal league, put your town halls outside.
Then you will get at least a shield over night and cap your losses.
I'm a Th8 and have more than 50k DE, but because people love my outside town hall, I haven't lost any DE for 5 consecutive days.
And here I was thinking lightning DE had stopped after the last update...
It should have declined in frequency because the spell factory boosting is over.

But using elixir for spells also encourages people to lightening DE storage more.
