The only time I've had elixir problems is the period after I upgraded My TH and had a whole new set of troop upgrades. Learn to play with lower tier armies and don't be afraid to hit next. I use three to four spells quite often now.

I want spells to cost gold too, I'm TH6, and having 3 builders and raiding a lot I don't know where to spend my gold while upgrading my buildings, I even started buying flags so others don't get my resources. I think army composition should be created of both, gold and elixir.

for trophie pushes this may be a problem this is helping quiet alot when farming and another solution would be to change your army it is very expensive mine might only cost me about 30-50 usually

Possible solutions to this unbalanced situation:

- increase the amount of elixir you can raid for each attack
(or) - increase the amount of elixir you earn by the pumps
(or) - decrease the amount of elixir cost for the troups (lvl 4+)
(or) - decrease the amount of elixir to spent into potions (min 8k)
(or) - find another way to make us more money and put back potions to gold.

I believe increasing the pump output would fix everyone's problem. There is plenty of gold to go around but elixer is very hard to come by these days. Some of us still have troops to upgrade and since this change, my progress has all but stopped.

I don't agree. I always have about 3x the amount of elixir to gold.

Could it be of your army composition?
I use 2 barracks for archers, one for giants, and one for wall breakers /goblins. I'm th8 and I rake in 100k each raid.

Early game, you use gold for EVERYTHING and don't have enough gold for anything. Late game, gold becomes practically worthless because you can't buy troops with it. Its your call

I am a TH 5, and since I am trying to max out all defenses and upgrading defenses cost gold, I barely have any use for elixir besides the point that elixir is what you use for troops. I currently have maxed out my troops level besides that I can upgrade my lightning spell to level 3. So besides for troops and in this case, spells, elixir is pretty much useless to me. But I have to say, I didn't read about that update too much so without looking I accedentaly clicked on the lightning spell without looking too much and then realized I spent ELIXIR, and not gold wich I was a bit upset about, since I was saving up for a troop upgrade and I finally got enough, so that meant I had to save up more elixir. But for the future I will need elixir more than I think, but now I don't need it as much, so I don't know what side to take.

Think its good having them elixer based tbh, always been far easier to find for myself and know most of our clan feel the same..... I wonder if they've ever considered giving you the option of whether you u gold/elixer of havev2 types of spell cost one and two types the other etc.... Either way i personally prefer elixer spells!

I was with you, but I realized that I just have to make armies of all dark troops when I am trying to save up elixer, and elixer armies when I want dark elixer.. It takes a minute to get used to, but it's really not bad.
