This is a joke right? Did someone really just complain about elixir over gold? You must be the worst attacker on the face of the planet if you think elixir is hard to come by. And for all the people saying oh and if i use 4 rage spells every attack thats over 100k elixir and blah blah blah, so do you just wait the 3 hours for all the rage spells to get done every single attack? Oh you dont well then i dont see how you can add 4 rage spell to how much ever attack cost do you? Also a 200 army level 5 archer is only 40k elixir and if you cant use that army to make elixir very quickly then your a terrible player. Plus ive only been at th8 for a month and only thing i have to spend elixir on now is lab and i only have to do that once every week or two. And half the time its around 2 mil. And guess how much things i need gold for my air defense, my cannons,my archer tower,my wizard tower, my 180 walls i still need to get to lvl 8. Only way id every lose elixir on attack is if i do drag or pekka i used 3 heal spells and wizard army in crystal and my elixir didnt even go down. No support ive never heard anyone complaining about elixir except someone who got to a new th a day ago.

I'm good with elixir but it looks like that's a problem in the higher levels...
However, I would still keep it as Elixir.

Really, all of you that want it changed back probably just rushed your town halls so that's on you. There's a lesson to be learned: Don't rush your town hall. And thread OP: What kind of th10 only gets 150k elix per raid? First of all, you should be hunting for way more, and second of all 300k to fill your camps?? What do you raid with all pekkas and golems? You should look at some other strategies, this is how the game works. You should've known not to rush your townhall like that.

For those higher lvl guys that can attack with just archers they're more than likely farming and have high lvl archers so they can take out those weak bases with very little elixer spending. But the issue is when your trophy hunting and your attacking lvls higher than yours thats when the elixer dips into your pocket. Theres no way you can attack with just archers and giants against a true Crystal Or Higher. You gotta mix it up a little bit. (or they dont have a good strategy) On the other subject yes theres alot of people who upgrade their TH pre-mature. I can go either way but it would be nice to use heavier troops like PEKKA, DRAGS, GOLEMS without worrying to get a good raid and atleast break even.

I just use BAM/barch... It works really well, and normally I don't use spells.
Also, 300k elixir army? That's a little too expensive... try using something else.

I'm good with both gold and elixier, I get good loot in 1200 trophies but I'm only th7 but I heard gold is decent for the higher ths.

i normally focus on elixier in raids so I can stockpile it for a lab upgrade and just let little amounts of gold build up into millions, I can get 1-1.5 mil gold in one day if I try. If I don't, I get 200-150k per raid, and I only do one. The noobs in silver2-1 cant defeat my base so I'm good with leaving the game for long periods of time. It's hard to lead a clan, do HW, dance practice, AND keep good resources but I manage... Somehow...

Was skeptical at first when I just hit TH8 after the update. I was overwhelmed by the cost of upgrading troops and other elixir related upgrades. With an army of 18 giants, 60 archers, 6 wall breakers, 2 healers, and 10 goblins along with 2 healing spells and a rage potion, I've actually managed to stay above 5 million elixir for quite a while now.

When entering the next TH level it's very frustrating and daunting at first, but later on as more and more of your core troops are upgraded, all you ever use elixir for is your army and spells, nothing else. For those at TH8 I advise you to just leave your barracks at level 9 as there is no real benefit to upgrading those. Your army camps should be already maxed from TH7, so no need there, along with your spell factory. If you have at least one lvl 2 dark barracks, then you're fine because chances are you really aren't going to be using anything other than minions and hog riders.

The change has caused things to be changed up a bit, I've set my village to where my strongest defense are protecting my elixir rather than my gold, since gold is so much easier to come by now.

Also for those of you at lower TH levels, I'm not sure what the issue is because at that level so long as you're raiding a village that offers 100K gold and elixir, you're making profit regardless.

I've bounced back and forth between gold 3 and silver 1 (silver 1 due to too much trophy dumping). At silver one, I use nothing but barbs (66), archers (66), goblins (60), and wall breakers (4), total cost for this army comp is around 35K, and I also use my BK whenever available. I've raided my way back up from silver 1 back to gold 3 with this army comp and have made more profit doing just that.

So in the early stages of a new TH, it's a bit tough, so switch your farming technique to suite your needs better. Later on, you will have more elixir than you can spend.
