You really don't need that much of your farm dedicated to machines and trees. But I agree about the Olive Trees, their size is ridiculous.

I'm not quite sure I understand.
The olive trees are no bigger than the native deciduous trees, and the sauce maker is the same size as the Pie, cake, bakery etc.

Hi john, just went to your farm to see the size of the olive trees. They are huge! I'm not quite there to buy them yet. I like where you put them, looks good on your farm.

Hey Besta, have you tried it with the boy fountain? I had thought about that, too. The tops are bushy and may obliterate the boy while leaving the fountain below visible between the tree trunks. Right now my farm is too crowded to experiment, so I was wondering if it would work.

Hi willow. I haven't tried it out with the fountain. Right now he is in the bottom right hand corner. I'm still moving stuff around and will let you know when I try.

Its true that they take up the same footprint (taking up the same space on the farm), I think in this thread they are referring to the size graphically. The olive trees still only take one space, but they are much taller, and broader, so they cover up more of the spaces visually than other trees.

With all the new machines, decorations, and those to come, I'm hoping we get some land additions! No matter how much I loath struggling to expand all land plots, farms usually have a lot of acres and we need more space!

I actually don't mind the size of the olive trees when they're close to being chopped down. I like to use the tree decorations to cover up that ugly rock wall. So they blend in nicely.

As for the machines, they are annoyingly large in size. I'm used to the darker stone machines to be larger and the tan stone machines are usually smaller. But it's completely opposite with the new ones. I do admit I'm REALLY weird and particular about my machines and how they line up. All of the stoning has to match. Before the newest machines, I could fit a row of straight sidewalk in between the two main rows, and now I can't. Which is bothersome but something I just have to deal with.

I have a feeling the trees and machines will stay the same sizes they are currently though since the art team spent a lot of hard work designing them.

I just trashed the cake topiary along with the gnomes. So, no need to hide them...LOL.
