I doubt the SC would be stupid enough to let a "mark target" feature lock a base. Too much trolling potential.

Making notes or provisionally showing your clan how you want to attack would be a welcome feature. It helps promote clan tutors and will certainly help experienced players bring up less experienced players

These features have been available for many years (albeit in 3rd party apps) , so if that is what the 'war tools' translate to then I would feel that the efforts may have been directed towards different tools

... so now they want to make it even harder for leadership to actually LEAD their clans in wars .... if it's 'just' or 'only' this what's in this thread, there will be huge problems as far as I (and several other leaders I have been in touch with) can tell.

War tools was suppopsed to be something for LEADERSHIP to actually manage the war / clan better, like adding the option for a leader to change the shield color and such... It certainly should NOT be enthusiastic kids to 'reserve' a target. Any established clan already has had their 'tools' and communication in place for a long time - due to lack of it in game [no criticism, it's just what it is and we've been able to war, and win, without it so far... definitely not complaining]

We are now hoping this tidbit is proven to be incorrect, like the info on the clan games that was 'leaked' earlier this month

A kind of built in clashcaller would be really helpful. Maybe you will be able to reserve your target and leaders will be able to restrict which targets you can attack. Look forward to those tools

OP's translation didn't say anything about reserving - he just said "calling".

As others have said, a way for players to put their name beside a base in the game would be good.

I know this type of thing is available in 3rd party apps, but I think it would be great if it was added in-game. Next step is some direct messaging....

The war community has advocated for in-game war management tools for a very long time. I hope it happens this year.
