Nothing was said here that is "over the line" for an internet discussion. If you are going to offer inappropriate analogies, you are going to get some harsh responses.

I don't think he/she wants to ban fette. Was just not happy with the tone of the post.

I gave fette a rep point when I read the reply a couple of days ago. Mainly because the reply was spot on. If people want to draw real life analogies in support of an argument for a game, then they have to appreciate that actually, real life is not as black and white as some like to see it. There are always grey areas.

As fette put it "Oh the fallacy of real life analogies eh?"....

This thread has thrown up some decent discussion, some has got heated. That is inevitable when players go back and forth with their arguments to support their position.

Will be interesting to see what SC makes of this thread if it is ever thrown their way. I remain of the opinion as per my thoughts posted a few pages ago but I can also see the opposite sides view.

Would I be against a change? No. Do I want a change? No. But would I accept a change if meant an overall better experience for all? Yes.

You could just kick the people who have 50 points out of your clan, I would just wait until the end of this clan games though because they may unexpectedly become a person who has 3000 points

This is what I don't want to happen. Will you kick one of your core members if he or she gets only 50 points due to some real life prob, or even any problem?
I don't find that acceptable. Imagine that your clan has been running for a solid 3 years, and among your core members, one got 50 points. Will you so easily kick him out? Damn. The world really is harsh, I must say.

If fette's response got you upset, your future on the forum will be filled with angst. For the record, I hope they implement the feature that lets your clan dictate rewards. I then wish you luck in recruiting.

Ha. Super member means I need to get a life. . Yes I noted and posted that I thought the new changes could be helpful. Game specialist and other blue badges are recognition of their knowledge and overall quality posts. They aren't mods or the Darian. They are normal fallable humans like the rest of us. Prone to post in a moment of pique. From real world stuff, electronic communication really tends to come across as way more negative than intended. I know we are trained to reread emails multiple times before sending. And we are paid to do so. I try to do that here. Even so, I've had to post several I really didn't mean to call you all morans posts.
