    • Are you in a big clan that failed to reach the top tier due to inactive members and has it made you look at the make up of the clan and consider changes?
    • Are you in a smaller clan that has decided to push for fresh blood to reach higher tiers?

    • Have you considered leaving your clan and looking for one that achieves better rewards?
    • Did you actually leave a long term clan to get better rewards?
    • Did your leadership make a decision not to push or pressure players regards Clan Tasks and you are satisfied which whatever effort people made in your existing clan?
    • If you have never considered leadership has this encouraged you to take control or if you are in a leadership roll has this put you off it with the extra responsibility?
    • Has this changed your clan in anyway either foreseen or unforeseen?

Please don't turn this into a comment thread about Clan Games themselves (such as tier rewards etc) because there are plenty of those threads already I am really driving at how it might affect clans going forward...if at all?
Big clan run by my brother and I and we have real life friends, family, game friends we’ve played online games with for the past like 8+ years and some randoms from America and India!

Made them feel like family, smashed every clan game, ranked top 15 BM international and pretty solid at wars too!

We are a group of solid players who can play relaxed I guess because we have quite a decent high level of skill! However we spend time getting lesser players good by giving advice and making them improve! That alone keeps them active because they get better and help the clan by doing quests!

Everyone that has left our clan begs to return

The clan I am currently in is a relaxed war clan. It lives in the 45-48 member range with 3-5 people with at least 1 alternate account. We asked everyone to please try to get a few hundred points for clan games. We ended up getting close to 20 at 3,000 and reached 75K with 3 days left. We had 8-9 accounts that did nothing. So far we seem to be able to muster what is needed to get the max number of points.

    Observations:

-The clan is more active during clan wars
-We have kicked a couple of accounts because of "selfish" clan game play (donating whatever they have to meet a donation requirement and pretending it's a mistake, over and over and over and still not completing requirement over 8 hours).
-Overall the number of accounts using clan games to work on upgrades as they should is mixed. Some are, some not.
-We have been able to maintain the chill environment of the clan with clan games.
-The clan games are popular and enjoyed by the majority of our accounts.

We reached the 75k easily with 2 days to spare. It wasn't hard. We have 38 members and I didn't have to do anything extra as leader. Anyone that is active can achieve their 3k on their accounts fairly easy. I did on my 4 accounts. I think the Clan Games are great and have really good rewards.

    Great Thread Holps!

    1) I lead a very causal chill vibe clan. we are war farmers. so, no pressure war scene. (story for another thread) we are about a true 35 strong but have between 46-50 members on a daily basis. we just made it with about 90min to spare. and I was even on Global in the last few hours hunting down any warm bodies (did land one who helped us out!) as I did not set 'hard' participation line. I did do the rah-rah clan mail(s) prior to and asked for folks to shoot for 450 points per day and they could finish easy...this happened with about 15 ppl. then in the last 12 or so hours folks were frantically completing tasks, lol.
    2) nope
    3) n/a
    4) I did consider moving one of my alts, but thought 'hey lets try and hunt this thing down here, we have nothing to lose (except that BoE!) and thankfully we got it.
    5) nope kept my 3 alts in there and maxed on each!
    6) Again I run a chill vibe clan of farmers. so I did not want to pressure folks into an optional deal. but I did express my desire to get the book and max out the 75k needed which did require participation. (450/day is the easy street, way doable deal).
    7) Games are optional. so I did not want CGs to become a rift. and despite that sentiment it sort of did. there were the bandwagon 40pt contribution players who got full benefits off our backs... which I cant lie I was miffed. this Lunar games required more involvement. and people were sour about the 'slackers' myself included. I feel like the games are a bonus for stuff you are doing already if you are an active farmer.. so there is no real good reason to not participate if you are on and farming. (in the clan description I state "Active enough to get the daily star bonus").
    8) not put off, but it did require some extra work and effort..
    9) yes, the folks I will be kicking are not just the CG slackers, they are the inactive types that would be gone even if there were not clan games. but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and an oppurtunity. cause if you cant get up for 2x CW loot, and 4x Star bonus then you clearly are not active. and you can find another clan to be inactive in. cause we are moving along just like when I got the keys to lead the clan. changes are made and I try to include the clan in decision making as much as I can.

As an Aside. I do wish there was an opt in like CW. I also now feel the sting of the 'all in' and wish there were proportional rewards.. so the 40 pt player cant coat tail his way to the max rewards (though I did not feel like this initially)
and I wish there was no hard cap. after I maxed out I felt like I could have done WAY more, but once u reach cap you cant help out any more. If I want to do the heavy lifting, why shouldn't I be able to? (as the Leader, or the active farmer in my clan)

    Thanks!

Established war clan with a core group of 35 or so people who have been together for years. We usually hover around 45 people.

Finished clan games easily, about 40 accounts competed more than one challenge and more than 20 maxes their points.

Out chat is always active and donations filled right away but there is an uptick during the games and feedback is positive.

Quite a few complaints about BB tasks stacking up because only three or four people actually play that base and they do so begrudgingly. We cooridiante how to ditch them so we don’t get completely swamped

No talk of people mooching or pressure to complete tasks just a mail reminder to get at least one done so rewards can be collected.

No talk of them being too frequent

I’d say keep the games rolling!

Hi holps, long time no speak

    here is my answers

    • Are you in a big clan that failed to reach the top tier due to inactive members and has it made you look at the make up of the clan and consider changes?
    • No. I am in a clan of 40 and we got the 75k on the last day

    • Are you in a smaller clan that has decided to push for fresh blood to reach higher tiers?
    • no
    • If you are in a smaller clan has this made you considered a merger?
    • no
    • Have you considered leaving your clan and looking for one that achieves better rewards?
    • no, I've lead this one for over 5 years. It is home
    • Did you actually leave a long term clan to get better rewards?
    • no
    • Did your leadership make a decision not to push or pressure players regards Clan Tasks and you are satisfied which whatever effort people made in your existing clan?
    • i myself promoted the event BIG TIME to inspire my team to get the full 75k, I also messaged my elders and got them promoting the event, when an easy point scorer popped in it was mentioned in clan chat, same if a big pointer popped up. Every time we had a "challenge champion" (someone who maxed their score) they got an honerable mention in clan mail. There was no negativity towards low scorers and no one was in danger of being booted. Loads of praise, promotion and positivity created a fun buzz where people wanted to succeed rather than feeling like they had to.
    • If you have never considered leadership has this encouraged you to take control or if you are in a leadership roll has this put you off it with the extra responsibility?
    • been leader forever, v happy how it went
    • Has this changed your clan in anyway either foreseen or unforeseen?
    • amazingly yes, for the better somehow. Like most clans we have some with bigger skills and more developed bases than others, this means some naturally feel like they are of higher value than others (though this isn't often true) but clan games even the playing field meaning that ANYONE can succeed and shine. Some of my less active players or weaker skilled players have smashed out the numbers faster than some of the perceived gurus or top dogs. It has brought an extremely close team together even closer and put people's names in lights that have previously lurked in the shadows. I think it has been an awesome addition

Non stop Clan Games are a problem. They force players into doing something they may not have the time or interest in doing.

Before CG, each individual could improve their base and war skills on a schedule and budget that fit their needs. Now we have forced participation at fixed intervals and there is angst over who gets enough points done in time, "free loaders" who do just one game, etc. Supercell ripped the HayDay Derby feature and is turning a War based game into a repetitive grind fest.

Sure, the rewards are nice but the social aspect and impact of clan games was not well thought out. Smaller clans can't finish them. Larger clans have discord over who accomplishes what with little regard for the players commitments outside of the game. (Wife, kids, job, older parents, etc.)

Clan Games are mandatory. Don't tell us otherwise. Everyone wants the rewards and will push others to get them. Nearly back to back Clan Games are NOT fun. A new stress point every few days on top of war is more work than most volunteer Co Leaders want on their plate. Big Clan Games with 75K point requirements and very short timers are a transparent effort by Supercell to force boosting to drain away potions and gems. No one in Titans or higher or players with high heroes can clear a quest without boosting.

We will look at the rewards for this next schedule round and decide if games are mandatory for all players or not. I wonder if Supercell had that in mind...... Exhausted players who simply opt out of their "fun".

[*]Are you in a smaller clan that has decided to push for fresh blood to reach higher tiers? No. We have around 47 players.

[*]Did your leadership make a decision not to push or pressure players regards Clan Tasks and you are satisfied which whatever effort people made in your existing clan? Our Co Leaders pushed every player to hit 1600 minimum until we hit the goal. Not everyone was on board with the messaging but it got done.

[*]If you have never considered leadership has this encouraged you to take control or if you are in a leadership roll has this put you off it with the extra responsibility? It adds way too much work for our existing leaders. We are a WAR clan. War is everything. Farming up points and resources are encouraged only because it levels Heroes and walls. Nothing else matters to us. War, Win, improve when we lose.

[*]Has this changed your clan in anyway either foreseen or unforeseen? See above. [/LIST]

    • Are you in a big clan that failed to reach the top tier due to inactive members and has it made you look at the make up of the clan and consider changes? Co leader in 2 different large (usually full at 50) clans with 2 different bases and we have mastered every clan game offered. For the most part everyone has tried to participate.
    • Are you in a smaller clan that has decided to push for fresh blood to reach higher tiers? No
    • If you are in a smaller clan has this made you considered a merger? NA
    • Have you considered leaving your clan and looking for one that achieves better rewards? No
    • Did you actually leave a long term clan to get better rewards? No
    • Did your leadership make a decision not to push or pressure players regards Clan Tasks and you are satisfied which whatever effort people made in your existing clan? The last clan game was a little harder in one of my clans and we did send clan mails and post on our Clan page to encourage but not really pressure. I actually started a clan games donation party where I sat in chat for 3 hours and just "cooked' troop for anyone requesting to motivate a push for the final tier. It was a lot of fun and everyone in chat had a good time.
    • If you have never considered leadership has this encouraged you to take control or if you are in a leadership roll has this put you off it with the extra responsibility? When I was concerned that we would not reach the final tier in one of the clans I felt the need to think of something to motivate them with ... But that is always a Leads responsibility in any situation.
    • Has this changed your clan in anyway either foreseen or unforeseen? There are some who do feel self pressure over clan games and there is nothing to do about it. Overall, in both my clans we are grateful for the opportunity to earn the perks. Clan games does make us work a little harder (farm) to gather the loot to use the books we are earning and that is a positive because everyone is growing and advancing.

The last clan game did feel a bit more stressful because there was a worry we would not achieve the final tier. 14 members in one clan reached 3000 and 15 members in the other reached 3000. More than 40 members in both clans participated. We haven't made non participation an issue in either clan because we have finished each game offered so far. I can see the potential for an upset if you are someone who's gives maximum effort but your clan doesn't finish. I think as leaders, it is another characteristic to be considered when adding new members...Will this person be a taker or a giver or even a non participator in clan games?

Are you in a big clan that failed to reach the top tier due to inactive members and has it made you look at the make up of the clan and consider changes? Mid-sized clan. Some are second accounts, some are longtime members who can’t be incredibly active these days, some are quite active. Love our core group and don’t want to have to change it a whole lot. Want to keep enjoying the game together.

Are you in a smaller clan that has decided to push for fresh blood to reach higher tiers? Could always use a few more good people. But actively recruiting just to get better results in clan games? Not really.

If you are in a smaller clan has this made you considered a merger? Again, a few new people is nice. A full merger (and the almost inevitable) conflicts over differences, leaders/leadership styles, etc. is not where we want to go. Tried it once before (before opt-out with wars was an option) and no one wants any more of that kind of drama ever again, lol. At one point we even had just one space in the clan and there was an argument over whose friend should get the spot. Even the fact that it has crossed my mind, is unsettling. Not everyone likes big/frequent changes.

Have you considered leaving your clan and looking for one that achieves better rewards? No. Sometimes wonder if a couple have considered it, though.

Did you actually leave a long term clan to get better rewards? No.

Did your leadership make a decision not to push or pressure players regards Clan Tasks and you are satisfied which whatever effort people made in your existing clan? Yes, and no. Don’t want to pressure people, but do feel like we have to send clanmails/chats asking people to try to participate, for the sake of those working really hard at it. It’s not as though everyone makes it a top priority, nor is it the case that no one cares. That makes it a bit difficult.

If you have never considered leadership has this encouraged you to take control or if you are in a leadership roll has this put you off it with the extra responsibility? A little off-putting. See above. Caught between those who think the rewards make the game “too easy” (?!) and the tasks are too boring/interfere with wars/proper attacking skills, etc., vs. those who really enjoy the games and need/want the rewards because it gives them a way to keep progressing as opposed to the usual “grind”.

Has this changed your clan in anyway either foreseen or unforeseen? Just the unspoken (or quietly spoken) tension that exists between those who go all out, and those who either can’t, or just won’t. Pretty much universally agreed by everyone who comments in chat, that they happen too often, though. Every two weeks with a variety of shorter and longer games is what people really seem to be asking for.

    Thanks TerM!

Got kinda worried snooks might be gf, but seems there's no gf in the set-up so she is absolutely confirmed.

I lead a level 7 clan with 48 members currently, we war non-stop. the last clan games were interesting. We got off to a hot start then stalled just under 50k points. I think the biggest issue is we have several casual players I believe we had about 25 people participate and about 8-9 with max points. Most everyone else was less than 2k points, and several under 1k. The only beef I had was one of our co-leaders (been with me for 2 clans and 2.5 years) only pitched in 50 points on each of his 3 accounts. He was the loudest mouth complaining about people taking rewards with minimal effort. Then he turned around and did the same thing. I wanted to demote him so bad. I think I will press the guys a little harder the next games because we can easily get max rewards.
