Good job making this guide! +1
A few people have requested this and I suppose I'm flattered. I haven't complied for a few reasons:
First I think that understanding base design is half the battle. Reading the base design document inversely should tell you a lot about the kinds of weaknesses that make bases weak and easy to farm.
If you leave base design behind and consider army composition and deployment, I have less to say. As an example, while I think it's obvious to most folks which troops are farming versus trophy troops, I'm not sure I can come up with clear and logical arguments as to why my proportion of goblins to archers is the correct one.
Even considering something as basic as troop selection, the fact that goblins weren't given another upgrade level makes me wonder if I'll start substituting barbs for goblins when that upgrade completes in a few days. We're still pretty close to a game update that may make some of my thoughts dated.
Finally, I have a few god-awful attack failures every few days. While I suspect that this is true of most high level raiders, it's also sufficiently humbling that I'm reluctant to put my version of raiding out there as the correct one.
I'll mull it over further though and if I think I have anything meaningful to say about TH9 raiding, I may add it at some point as an addendum.
With apologies, I don't give out my Gamecenter ID or respond to PM solicitations to do base design critiques.
You should record some videos of u attacking and then people (indcluding me lol) would get an idea how to approach certain bases!![]()
Honestly I'm just not sure I have much to offer by way of videos that isn't available elsewhere, but I'll think about it.

Great job Hannibal. Taken some important points from your guide. Regarding the egg crate design vs sectioning, i think both has it pros and cons, depending on your trophy range as well. But we are all open to discussion with our experience on CoC, so good that a constructive discussion has started due to your guide.
Has seriously never crossed my mind using Decorations to force opponents to spawn their armies further away.
Literally killed an extra 15 or so troops with this in mind.
Helped tonnes, thanks!
One other strategy that comes to mind but no mentioned is funneling troops.
Any thoughts on that Hannibal?
First of all, great guide Hannibal. Thanks.
For spikes, they need to be at least 2 pieces long in order to be effective. Otherwise the main wall surface will also be destroyed.
The ones on the top shown by ClanMcLeodClanLeader, will not be able to withstand wall breaker blasts.
For me, I will throw in my BK (lvl4) and a few giants to distract the defence, then send in the WBs.
My troop cost about 74k, lvl5 and I don't use pekkas or dragons.
