Thanks for your interest Brycimus. Right now I don't have a great base defense to offer. Bear in mind that:
(1) SC has almost a year of experience under their belt with wallbreakers, and they tried to engineer this one to be immune to distraction by unusual base configurations.
(2) Despite this, the current AI is extremely buggy. And by "buggy," I mean that it acts in nonsensical ways around certain base configurations in clear violation of the rules SC has offered to govern wb behavior.
I'm not too optimistic about building a base around those bugs. It's really hard for me to believe that SC will leave things this way, although they seem to be doubling down on the current AI implementation, so I could be wrong. Regardless, the buggy behavior creates a bit of a no-mans land for folks who want to dig into wb AI and create optimal defenses. Do you spend time planning around the way SC says the AI works, or the way it really does work in game?
If and when I think I have something meaningful to share, I'll do so publicly such that it won't be missed and you won't need to chase me down in game.![]()
