    Hay day

I only have two complaints #1 wish it had a confirm option when using diamonds I waste way too many hard earned diamonds on stupid random stuff also wish u could sell decorations even if at a lower price sometimes u just want a change and if u have to just store it instead of sell it mine as we'll keep it out. Also not happy that the Christmas tree costs diamonds that is a first was hoping it would be like FarmVille and u buy the tree for coins cheap and ppl can send u gifts

I'm in rather a rush so I'm just going to copy/paste what i put into the News thread on release day:

So many things to appreciate in this brilliant update.

Snow…oh, how I miss snow. I can almost feel the soft chill of those flakes, and you’ve done another lovely job on the trees and ground.

The notification (when the app is closed) that someone has filled an open crate and who did so to boot.

The compromise on the animal costumes. While I and many others love them, there are so many who don’t. By giving headgear only, you can give a little to satisfaction to both sides of the love/hate costume dilemma. I particularly enjoy the babushka on the goats. With their squinty eyes and wrinkles lips, they look like grandmas from the old country of yesteryear. LOL

I like that the little people are dressed for the season and cold.

The snow pile and chicken prints heading into the mine. First, the chicken is in the coffin and now in the mine. What IS she doing in there. Hmmmmm…never trust a sneaky chicken.

The new machines and products are most welcome. My barn may not be too happy though.

Even though I have plenty of diamonds now, thanks to you, I am a bit disappointed to see nearly all of the decorations costing diamonds instead of coins. Lower levels will miss out on so much. It was more evenly balanced for Halloween.

I’m especially thankful that you left the gray scale after-purchase market bins. The majority of the feedback on those was quite positive and some of us, including myself, have actual come to depend on them to evaluate market trends and neighbors’ market habits to increase our chances of a good purchase as well as better ideas of what we should sell. For those who do have issues with it, the fixable issues are that the gray needs to be a different shade (requested by several with colorblindness), and the “sold” moved up a tad to cover part of the pic to further differentiate it from stuff still on sale. Just something to think about for the next update.

I’ve not yet explored all of the update, but I’m very pleased. My only true disappointment is that Angus isn’t dressed as expected. I found him all decked out on a shopping trip this weekend and thought for sure he’d be flaunting his new getup. At least, I managed a photo of him in his holiday suit. I just hope that price tag isn't for something needed for the event fish. He even ditched his eye patch for the holidays, but I think he looks more distinguished with it, myself.

A hearty and sincere thank you to everyone at Supercell for all the work put in, the time involved, the missed lunches and dinners, meetings endured, problems bantered about, sleepless nights from excess coffee and wondering how to fix this and make that work, etc. You've done another fantastic job and your hard efforts (and ulcers we've given you) are most appreciated.

So there you have my $1.02 cents and so glad I didn't have to type it all again. I'll also add that I like the new categories added to the ingame Feedback menu. As someone who is always directing forum members with issues to place support tickets, this expansion of categories is welcome.

I love the new items and decorations. My only complaint is timing on some items. I see that soy sauce will take 3 hours each, ok that's fine, but i've seen boats open that have each crate asking for 4, so that's 12 hours for 1 crate. I know that time will go down with mastery, but I think even then that will be a hard task to fulfill. And I seriously feel for someone who doesn't know how to cast away a horrible boat such as this....

81 hours of soy sauce - worse than any sugar/jam/juice boat I've ever seen...
GC ID: DianeRenee1967 Currently level 77 (92/99 Achievements) I do help with all orders I can (sugar/dairy included but not if that's all that you opened and filled none yourself). I unfriend those that send challenges and those that open only sugar/dairy consistently.

Thumbs Up Sorry for the essay, lol

I think the update is wonderful.. I was like a kid on Christmas morning yesterday when it was released, and I still feel just as excited today! I love the new products, the new machines and crops.. my favourite update since I started playing in January. Thanks for all your hard work with this one!

A couple of things spring to mind for me.. Since there are really quite a lot of new items to produce, and of course, three lovely new machines, I'd really just love it if we could have a day to at least build the machines before our boat orders start asking for new products. We really don't have a chance of filling those orders so soon without using diamonds, and some of us just don't have them, or the money to buy them.

I'd really love to see some additional space to put things. I realise that would be a major job for the devs to work that into the game, but it's really a struggle to maintain a decorative AND functional farm when we don't have any option for further land expansion. That shelf above the mine would be a great area to utilise in the future.

Also, please, please could you consider increasing the capacity of the fishing tackle box. It's so hard to balance the number of lures, nets and lobster pots, especially now we have more products that require fish and lobster. Maybe you could think about introducing a way for us to increase capacity at will, with diamonds, like all the other machines can have additional slots. I know it isn't a machine per se, but you know what I'm getting at.

Overall I think the update is a great success!! Thanks again..

    Those boats!!

I love the new update, the snow is great and it looks great!

I have one major issue though....all of the new buildings take more than a day to even build, and then it will take time to make the items. Yet, the VERY FIRST boat I got required items from the new buildings. I had to turn that boat away, and now I've had to turn 4 more boats away that also required items that I can't even make yet! Asking for help from my friends won't help because you can only get help on 3 crates and each boat required 4 (or more) crates of new products.

If you ever do another update like this, please at least give us a couple of days before requiring new items on boats.

Low Resolution Art + Limited Zoom Ruining Experience

There are two things with the update that are having a significant impact on my enjoyment of Hay Day:

    1. Low Resolution Artwork
    - Looks like you've updated all the game art assets to have lower resolution versions. I can only assume that I'm getting forced down to these lower resolution assets because I'm on an iPhone 4 and my hardware isn't solid enough to handle all the high resolution assets?

Here is a comparison of pre-update and post-update of one of the elements in my farm:

    2. Zoom Out Dramatically Limited - I'm no longer able to zoom particularly far out, this forces me to stare up close at the low resolution artwork you've put into the game AND makes it a pain in the butt to navigate around my farm... it also makes rearranging my farm even more painful then before because I can no longer zoom out to help me move items longer distances in my farm.

Additional Feedback - Clash of Clans and Boom Beach both handle moving of buildings FAR better than Hay Day. Having my farm equipment/item move back to it's original location if it's place anywhere it doesn't fit is really annoying. In Clash of Clans and Boom Beach, the building remains red and you're able to further adjust and fine tune the location of the item before committing to the move. In Hay Day it's really frustrating to move items around because of the way the map moves around, your finger blocks the screen where you are dropping the item and you're unable to fine tune the placement before committing the move.

Love all you games guys, you've managed to give me MANY hours of enjoyment out of Hay Day and Clash of Clans, Boom Beach is starting to get me hooked...(you might just squeeze even more money out of me with that game!).

    Keep up the amazing work.

I have stayed out of the diamond confirmation button issue for a while but, Today my daughter asked me to send Tom out for errands while she was at school. She uses an I touch 4th gen I think and compared to my IPad working on the tiny screen is difficult. The screen movements are not smooth and because of that it is sooooo much easier to hit the wrong thing just trying to move the farm so I can find tom or move to her RSS or her boat. The Lag gets worse with each update and now with the added snow (which I like) the screen is slower to respond. Buying something you don't want while trying to scroll the shop is easy to fix. Taping on the wheat speed up button while trying to get around on the farm is not.

I play a lot of games that are not as BUSY on the screen, like solitaire for example and there is no lag so I understand that games with a lot of action in the background, like snow, grazing animals and bouncing trees take up more battery and memory and sometimes are choppy. This is understandable if it didn't also hit my wallet. Please keep this in mind while deciding how much longer you plan to take "testing" this feature. We need it NOW.

Please don't let it be like the movie tickets which was supposed to be also "testing" I understand if the number of people who get tickets has to be limited. I used to get them, Now I don't. I am willing to share that but don't make us share the Diamond confirmation button. If you are worried that some people might not like the interruption in game play, allow them to turn it off. problem solved!
