Hi Nick,

I really like the fishing area boosts given by the game, but when the lobster pot and duck salon are sped up but the fishing holes are unboosted, what I generally end up with is a purposeless scissors and a pot of boiling water. I don’t think we’ve had it yet, but if the fishing holes are boosted but the machines are not, we have the same issue in reverse - floating ducks and lobsters just wanting to get back to conch shell hunting.

It’s a little bit funny but a lot inefficient. I can’t freeze/pen the lobsters and ducks to cook/groom later. Would the devs consider wholehearted boosts of the area? Please? Thanks.

When I read the event, I had to smile because I can produce more things. But can not use faster. So I finally have more in the fishing tackle => why should I collect lobster and duck traps?

I actually like the idea of boosted net maker since I can make some extra traps and nets (not only for the ducks)... As for speeding up the fishing holes - I'm pretty sure there's a booster that speeds up the ducks that booster would fit perfectly with this event!

When I started this morning all the machines were boosted. I didn’t realise it was a glitch which SC later corrected.

In any event, we had had a lobster booster before IIRC and while I like the boost for what it’s worth I just think it can be better executed. If you don’t have a fishing hole booster, the event becomes a bit meh. It’s like they’ve increased the speed limit on the highway to 120mph but the top speed of the only car you’re allowed to buy is still 60mph. At the end of the day, it’s going to take you just as long as it ever did to get to grandma’s.

I also very much like the net booster. On a normal day, I can only make 3 lobster traps while lobsters are in the pool, and that's assuming I ignore ducks altogether. I did not even see any reason (other than achievements, so I did) to upgrade the lobster pool. Whats the point if I can't make the traps fast enough..

With this boost, when my lobster are ready, I should have another 5 traps to drop. 2 more than I can usually do. To keep the ducks busy, I'm taking this time to upgrade the salon.

It has occurred to me that it might be a diamond-spend nudge. If it is then there is joined up thinking. (I am quite amused by that expression, BTW) I’ve mostly dismissed it though because I hardly ever speed up anything in the fishing area under the best conditions - I remember doing one hole once during a derby when I wanted to win and the competition was on my heels. It hardly even occurs to me to do it and there’s no way I’m speeding up 12 holes to fill the machines on an ordinary day; any day if I’m to be honest. And if I’m not speeding 12 I’m not speeding 1.
