This update was incredibly good. It gives everyone, from top level players (archer tower and goblins) something new all the way down to new players (upgrading the traps). Traps required NO gem usage and adds a cool element for everyone. You complain about over-powered troops AND then also complain about upgraded defenses in the same post! You are a great reminder that you can't please everyone all the time. I for one am super thankful that SC did this.
The changes made at the top levels were also a result of an IMMENSE amount of complaining. It stands to reason those who abused the previous system won't want to lose their grip on the top.
