You should be able to take more from storages. I'd say around 300k. This would put more incentive to farm active villages rather than collector bases. It would make the game better and more competitive overall.

I don't get why a BAM user wants the loot cap removed...
Sure you can recover 500k within 2/3 raids but not everybody has time for that. Do you have any idea how long it takes to find a decent raid with bam at TH9? +10mins. Also, have you ever pushed before? because no matter how good your def is you will lose

I am TH9 and I use BAM, I'm in Crucible Clan.
I'm not asking for the loot cap to be removed. Please read before posting, my suggestion is that loot cap is 100k gold per storages. Meaning TH7 players loot cap will remain unchanged.
BAM users can make 500k gold within 20-30 minutes as they only go for the collectors. If you can't make that much then your doing something wrong. I make around 1 million gold per hour if I'm using BAM in 1600-1800 trophy range.
I've been trophy pushing and I lost many times against Hogs. Anything else (Even balloonions) will struggle to 100% my base and get around all of my storages. Recent update means Hog wouldn't be much problem, if I trophy push I definitely would upgrade all my traps and re organize my base based on the traps so Hog fails.
This. The game places too much weight on collector raids. Costs of upgrades goes up and up, while the amount of loot you can steal stays the same. Broken!
edit: you should be able to get a max of 80 to 100k from a store and 10k per townhall level. That would really change the dynamic of the game. Big strong armies would be required.

I voted yes, and I read through all the responses to see what everyone else thought. As a th9, I BAM like OP and can make up a big loss if that ever happened (has not happened while I was farming since January in my very premature days.) So if I am attacking a th9 or th10, I think you should get more loot if you take the base completely rather than picking off collectors. This would encourage more real attacks (I love collector bases as much as the rest of you; there should be more to gain for attacking a base full on), better base designs, and more loot to be had by everyone. I think the cap should be increased to 300k, not 400k though, because 400k seems a bit much to me.

I'm glad somebody decided to finally post this thread. agreed! I have often spent time contemplating the idea and I think it is beneficial for all this way. However, instead of the 100k, it could perhaps be 90k at 3 storages, and 75k at 4, to draw less negative appeal from the forums. To balance things more, the amount of gold available should be weighed accordingly with the storage level to protect weaker players. Since premmies will have usually weaker storages, they will be unable to lose as much loot as a maxed player.
Players should be incentivized to attack active bases, and not rely heavily on abandoned collectors.
