For three reasons.

- Top players won't be able to ♥♥♥♥♥ anymore.
- Spells costs Elixir rather than gold.
- AT and WT upgrade time got reduced.

People need to stop complaining, supercell did great job stopping the ♥♥♥♥♥ers from getting the top spot and staying on shield all the time. Its about time normal players get the chance to climb the leaderboard.

Spells should have cost elixir to begin with, making spells using gold made absolutely no sense especially when troops are made with elixir.

AT time should have got reduced to the same level of cannon, but other than that there is nothing to complain here, this is all an improvement.

How would you make a spell with gold anyways? You don't just turn gold into a potion! You need elixir to fill it up.

the best part about this update as a farmer is that my gold loot per raid at Crystal 1 has increased by 25% or more (assuming I raid 200k gold every time) because I can now use spells with elixir - resulting in around 600k-800k more gold per day. THIS is an amazing boost.

I love the new spells. If I'm storage rushing I have no problem with dropping some thunder on a mortar.
