Need help farming effectively

Since spells cost elixer, I'm having a hard time building my storages up( although my gold per hour has went up significantly).
im th9, trying barching, all teir 1, minions and hogs, giant healer; And at 1700 trophies, I'm having a hard time getting all 200k loot( the bases after every 10-20 searches) with anything but giant healer( but that require 3 lightning spell)

my: archers,barbs,giants are lv 6, wizards at lv5, healer at lv3

any army ideas to GAIN elixer( im ok with increasing/dropping cups)?

p.s i saving for lv6 balloons, but went from 2.5m elixer to 1.7 since update

Use BAM at 1650-1750... I had 3 million before update and now 4 million and I maxed all my troops. :P

Ok, what number of minions should I have? I can make 65 at once( one lv5 de barracks, other is lv2)

Everyone always looking for that 200k hit. If you can use 1/4 of the army and get 50k gold, thats the same as getting 200k with a full army. Farmers should never worry about winning either, just take the gold and run. Snipe a few th to keep in the right trophy lvl. Shouldn't be too hard at that trophy range .
