Revenge Change and how it affects top players

um if Im not mistaken, there is no revenge period at +3200....what cool off period?

The revenge is available but when you press it you get the message "unable to attack village! Please try again later."

They are mad because:

1- They cannot revenge any raid because by the time the cool off end the village they tried to revenge was already found in search
2 - The match times are actually worse because now minis are not playing def like before and players are raiding more to offset their losses on defence.
3-Players with 3200+ cups do not have a week shield.
4- High cup players are getting on average 2-3 cups per raid and losing up to 58 on defence

Also so because there was and has been no communication from SC about this change. If there was some clear guidance or explainition about this we would be a bit more accepting. After the update there was mass confusion when people realized they could no longer revenge

Yeah, they really went out of their way to keep this under wraps. Not sure why; it's a no-brainer that everyone would figure it out the same day as the update...

Just to clarify Supercell's position, we made this change to make competition fair at ALL levels, and did not target any particular type of player.


We feel that the spirit of fair competition is one of the most important things there is for a MMO like Clash. For example, we don't even give our poor, overworked employees free gems. =(


Anyways, we took a close look at the state of things, and concluded that tactics players were using to keep bases out of the matchmaking queue went against our goal of having a level playing field for all types of Clashers. In addition, it removed emphasis from the defensive aspects of the game, which we feel are super important. Finally, it made it extremely hard to find a match above certain trophy levels, which was already difficult enough to begin with.


Again, the revenge change was made purely in the spirit of fair competition with no attempt to target any individual or clan. Feel free to let me know if you guys have any questions. I'll hang out in this thread for a while.

A "Top player", an elder in a "Top Clan", a "trophy leader", a top 20 highest trophy count worldwide player has the following achievements:

14 Inferno Towers destroyed. Fourteen. Seriously.

62 Xbows destroyed.

Winner of only 1545 multiplayer battles.

And routinely donates exactly 0 troops in 2 weeks, and receives 0 troops in 2 weeks.

Thats a "top 20" worldwide player.

Are you kidding me? Anybody defending the ♥♥ shields has no leg to stand on when players who literally DO NOT PLAY THE GAME are able to get then keep a top 20 worldwide ranking.

What a joke. Good riddence any of these clowns who quit.

It seems some players feel they were entitled to avoid defending their bases through cheap shields. Well the rest of the game has to defend their cups - so great work supercell removing the ability of the few to avoid defending through exploiting the old revenge rules. 👍👍👍 its funny how when people ♥♥♥♥♥ for a while that they start to think its ok and normal - so now they complain when their ability to ♥♥♥♥♥ is removed. Level playing field makes the game fair to the honest champ league players

Hello,

So I was looking at the top clans list and I noticed the top clans all changed thier logo to the same one and they all posted a message for thier clan description complaining about the new update saying that they are all retireing lol,, Kinda funny honestly because we all know that not a single one of them will quit..

But I am wondering what all the crying and whinning is about this time? They didnt really go into detail but Id like some feedback from some of these players about what is soo bad about things now?

I am a master 1 player with 3014 cups tryin to break into champ so maybe I dont or cant really relate to them, but i honestly LOVE this new update I think its freakin COOL!! GJ SC love it..
