If you are trying to save up for a level 9 town hall that costs 9 million. This honestly is impossible for lower levels without Mac level defenses. Once you reach around 1 million you get raided to hell and back and lose half of it. There should be a more efficient way to protect your money. This also leads me to say that the most successful players MOST of the time are the ones who spend $100 on gems to buy stuff. I just though this should be addressed. It cost four million gold to get a th9, Not nine million. But, the reason it seems impossible for lower level players to get it is that lower level players shouldn't have it. In fact, they shouldn't even want it with its penalties.

If you can't protect your storages enough to save 4 mill gold then you obviously haven't got good enough defences and therefor arent ready to go to the next Townhall level. Also why would you want to upgrade?...read a bit about the penalties you will recieve and it will change your mind :P

Good defense + good layout + low/mid throphy are able to safe guard your resources.

Soo the strategy of the game is to upgrade everything before you upgrade your townhall. So quit complaing you are playing the game stupdily in the first place so dont complain when it doesnt work out.

9 million?? ♥♥♥♥.. Anyways it's 4 and I'm th 8 and not even close to upgrading to 9 but I farm 3-4 million gold per day so yeah... 4 million for th 9 isn't alot. Sorry (lol)

Nice crowd. Good advise, but really guys and gals maybe tone down the sarcasm. On that note, i agree with the majority here. All of you new or amature players need to realize nothing is "impossible" in this game and you NEED to max your deffences before upgrading TH. If you choose not to heed the advise of others, thats cool too. There are plenty of people like my self who will continue to raid you for all your resorces.

Saving 4 million gold to upgrade to TH 9 is a piece of cake.

If it's not for you, then you're not ready to upgrade.

And no, you don't need to spend a single gem to upgrade to TH 9 or get Xbows.

BTW when you get raided you only lose a rather small part of your resources (capped at about 200 K each for storages plus half of mines and collectors).

As the others have said slow down dude - it's not worth it to upgrade if you are not well down the way with TH8 upgrades

If you are getting raided bad now... Wait till you get town hall 9!!!!
You will get raided twice as much, and lose more resources every time!!!!
