It's funny tthe defacto answer whenever anyone complains about a troops type is " your base layout must suck"
Having problems with witches, it's your base bro.
You got 3'd by dropships? Change your layout, it's weak.
80 raged barbs giving you problems, obviously your base design.
So according to some, attacks take incredible skill, all troop units have equal capabilities, and there are "super" top secret base designs that can stop everything and everyone. See the contradictions? Give me a break.
My base layout is susceptible to Mitch attack from one direction. Easy 70% 2 star sometimes 3. I know this but I keep it because it does well against most Barb and Drop Ship attacks.
the Beauty and Cruse of the builder base is it is hard to get a base that defends all types of attacks.
but if you are regularly getting 100% by a single type of attack either your defenses are under leveled for your trophy range or you have a bad base layout.
To some certain extend, that answer is right though. No base can defend all types of attacks. So if your base is strong against ground attacks, it must be weak against air attacks. Or any other troop composition.
But yes, I agree too many people in the forum answer the same answer without providing too much insight and helps. That's they way it goes lol
<INSERT TROOP or DEFENCE NAME> is OverPowered
No, nothing on the Builder Base is OverPowered .. No base design holds up against ALL attack styles. YOUR base, does not hold up against Raged Barbarians .. now, what are YOU going to do about that, with the tools that SuperCell have given to you?

And what exactly would those tools be? The fact is base design in bb is extremely limited. You have a few basic designs to chose from such as bracket/open bases, diamond, closed/boxed, and trap bases and that's it. Essentially 4 designs with minor variations. When I look at a base anymore in a matter of seconds I know which side to attack from and the sequence/spacing of troops (always Mitch) and its seldom I get lower than high 60% 2 stars on maxed th7 bases and usually it's high 70% and up.
The the only thing that really matters in bb is that your offense is stronger than your opponents. Unless you are deliberately sabatoging yourself by exposing key defense's your base design should be relative to others due to limited options and offense is the deciding factor.
I just completed my last defensive upgrade and have started my wall upgrade grind. Everything is L3 with a handfull of L4's. So I'm looking at about 50 days to get everything to L5, which is my goal to reach before BH8 drops. If they stick to the "Not in 1Q of 2018", then maybe I can get halfway to L6.

"The Tools" would be:
- The ability to design exactly the base you want.
- The ability to upgrade exactly the defenses you want.
- The ability to review each attack on your base as you want.
- The ability to combine troops as you want.
- The ability to friendly attack everyone in your clan as you want.
- The ability to upgrade troops in the sequence you want.
- The ability to change your troop composition AFTER reviewing the enemy base as you want.
If you limit yourself to Mitch and 4 base design, that's on you.

That's a great list that I'm sure you put a tremendous amount of thought into, however none of them except the first is relevant to rhe OP's base being "destroyed" by rb's. In listing the first you completely ignore that fact that base design is limited at best and stating "the ability to design exactly the base you want" is laughable when the reality is that there are very few viable options. I guess next you're going to argue that moving one bomb or a defensive structure is an example of innovation and a new base design.
Supercell has limited builder base design due to the low number of walls and units, not me. I use Mitch because I am highly effective with it and see no reason to waste time on other attacks that are less effective. You view it as limiting, I view it as maximizing my time and effort.
