Can someone explain to me how the cheap shielding was removed?

It seems as though there is now a "Cool Down" period when the user logs off against Revenge.... But NOT for being matched in the Match Making...

So theorectically it hasnt been removed, just increased the chance of someone else attacking you before the revenge can happen

Update arrived. Some anticipated stuff arrived, some did not. Many happy players, many unhappy players.

A gamechanger for sure for many people.

I first though, that most of the updated stuff was going to make me enjoy the game the game more. Sure, most changes were improving the game, but the impact on the game when looking at the bigger picture did in many points just the opposite.

- Now there are countless sinks for resources, so farming took a hit.
- Bombs in their own will make tier1 armies (and air armies) far less effective.
- Cheap shielding is gone.

I can adapt to all of these changes, but some might not be able to. Some of the changes had zero impact to me, while it was clearly too much for many others. What really rises it's ugly head, once again, is the reaction of the community.

I'm guessing not overly many here ware affected negatively with the top dogs' changes. Tier1 attackers and cheap shielders were the ones affected most. Many see the cheap shielding as a h.a.c.k, yet it was all allowed and ok, up until now. Sure, I agree it's not showing overly much sportsmanship to have friends/own alt accounts give a shield every time. Yet it took a hell of a lot MONEY from many people to achieve what they did: rise to top #10 in the world. Money and huge amounts of time and effort.

Now, it's easy to laugh at other people's misfortune like this. I feel sad for the people, who had their #1 hobby, competing in CoC (you really can't have time for anything else otherwise) the way they did, pulled a rug under their feet and then most pointing fingers and laughing at them.

Not just the top dogs, but some others were affected with the update in a way, that it killed the joy from the game. In a way, I'm one of them, who isn't looking overly much forward where the game takes us.

I don't expect anyone to change their minds about this topic. I know this post will also get trolled. But maybe few gets a hint of what I'm talking about. I'm not looking for sympathy or empathy either, just tired of seeing people treated like s#it.

How much concern did they give for the rest of the players by using jailbroken devices, che@ts, h@cks, and exploits to make a mockery of the leader board and remove any sense of fair play? It's clear not much, because when SC (finally after months of complaints) took measures to stop it, a number of them picked up all of their marbles and went home.

Also, what of the other players who also spent a lot of time and money to attempt to play the game fairly? Lastly, even for those who don't compete at that level, how many players' game play experience was tarnished by knowing of the shenanigans going on up there?

No, they deserve every bit of the scorn and mockery they are receiving.

I see the problem with top player. Tier 1 armies will still be my best man. But now the top players would go from 4300, Down. Which means less profit from sc. If they lose all there gemmers they wont make profit. But then there room for new future top players to gem up.
