I have to take my hat off to this player’s foresight (luck)

First off, this is not a post about engineering or in favour/not in favour of the IT change.

However, once the dust settles from it all, the war weights will definitely need re-jigging. In our current war, it looks to me as though our enemy clan's number 8 is now actually a tougher base to beat than their no's 4 through 7. Here's the base at number 8:

    Heroes: 45/47/20

    Here's the one at 7:

I think this may have been easier to take on pre-IT change also

I've run out of space to be able to upload their no 4 base, but it has maxed TH10 defences with TH11 walls, plus 43/46/20 heroes

Yes, we'll be re-jigging the hit allocations to handle this, but if this is suggestive defensive level weight portion of the overall war matching algorithm, it'll most certainly need an overhaul.

People who never dropped infernos must be happy. It's now a useless and heavy defense.

That base you're referring to is also the reason engineering is completely broken. You can have a fully maxed TH11 that doesnt have infernos or Eagle and its weighted like a bad th10. It just makes no sense at all.

Engineering is not broken, it is the mm that is not adept to match these lopsided bases that is broken (I think that is what you meant).

    I believe a max 9.11 weighs 87k (I always forget), which is a high th10.

Before the inferno nerf, I thought infernos (and eagles) weighed too much & more emphasis needed to be placed on point defenses/wiz towers.

Now, a serious inferno weight reduction is necessary to match its true value, which I think is about 5k per max inferno (2 lvl 3 infernos at th10 weigh 6k combined, versus the 14k they currently weigh at th10 & extra weight is distributed to point defenses).

This would better re-weigh X.5s, X.11s, and other forms of lopsided accounts that use the low weight of point defenses for an advantage. But thats just my opinion.

I believe it will be 87k defense gold weight, once everything is maxed. With no inferno or eagle. It might defend better than a similar weighted inferno’d th10.

But based on other threads here, people are rolling max th10’s like they were th3’s, and getting their th11’s cleared as well. So, maybe it doesn’t matter.

I have been of the opinion that most people that frequent the war sub forum are generally skilled, take war seriously, or both.

I saw my first 11v11 3 star in my clan last night since the inferno nerf. It was only a 106k th11.

I have only seen a slight uptick in 10v10 3 stars - mainly because alot of my clans th10s are either weaker 9.5s or 10s. Even our better th10 attackers have not seen a huge uptick in 10v10 3 stars, yet.

So while the forums says 3 stars are too easy, for casual players the rates have not changed significantly yet (in my clan at least).
