Boat Event - Through Monday!

Where's the consistency or follow through? Two events in there's no Mayor? I don't mind the current event, yet...the team isn't looking at the big picture. Don't make announcements, add new events, change current expectations or flip-flop between event board scenarios. Even if the Mayor had introduced/announced this current event, at least it would have been consistent with a new feature the team is trying to implement.

At this point every player should be going after vouchers if they're within a level to do so. With a supposed fishing event on the horizon and the possible Mayoral return it looks as though it may be game on. For now, fill those boats players!

As an avid daily player I've seen many features come and go. On SC's end they have had their reasons, yet I continue to play. I'd like to think that it's trying to develop into a more long term player retention game. But consistency is key, even with attractive new additions, hit and miss features along with creating new excitement and anticipation it feels as though they give up too early.

First Mayoral event B & E, as a community we didn't reach the goal. Not really a big deal, nobody new what to expect. Second Mayoral debut pumpkin pie. Great! Goal achieved and doubled I think, even though it appeared as though the counter was moving faster. Now we have the double voucher boat event. Great! Yet Nick announces/posts that further events will come from the Mayor, however that's not the case with this event. I really don't mind how we as a community of players receive events, but I'd like to think that when a feature/addition is implemented to create excitement or a cohesive flow it would stick around longer to see if it works. That's what I meant by "big picture."

Clearly the current event isn't global, however it's time limited. Hence the Mayor in either case. Since global was never used to describe the new "event board." It's still an event, it's still new and there's still rewards. Where's the Mayor?

I'm sorry, I must be missing something because I am not sure what you perceive to be a problem here. So, the game "mayor" didn't announce anything via an in-game message? Why is that an issue? Furthermore, why do all events need to be "global"? I don't think I'm alone in not caring for those events AT ALL!

I was hoping for the truck or boat event. So I'm a happy little camper at the moment.

As far as an announcement goes, I just check the billboard next to my RSS and that gives me the info I need to know.

Oh is that why I got 2 vouchers this morning? I must confess I don't read the Events board much, as I don't really "get" them. I guess at my level throwing a ton of stuff into a bottomless pit seems a bit of a waste of resources :-D
