    today I went for a raid with giants and so normally I always had 3 heal spells and now I deployed all my giants and saw I only had 1 spell... it was a pain in the ♥♥♥, that feeling when a habbit is gone, I was so used to that boost

    realized how grateful it was to have that spell boost while trophy hunting.

    Indeed. It was a sad moment this morning when my final spell boost ended... sigh.

My army took about an hour to create. four spells takes 2 to 2.5 hours to create. 44 hogs take 88 minutes to create. This do not slide perfectly together. Either you use less spells, wait for them, or gem them.

    The reduced price is useful for driving people to it, like a sale or reduced price on your favorite gizmo might. Sometimes reduced prices means more people buy a thing.
    Of course that was the reason for the boost event, I'm talking about the permanent time reductions they have done. Remember when spells used to take 4 hours to make? Yeah, I think we are all glad that that's gone.

    I agree that spells need a time cut. If nothing else, it would be worth it for the reaction on the forums if SC announced the lightning spell took one minute to make.

    The difference was the bases defence back then though. You didn't need a handful of spells to win. I remember only needing a lightning for CC troops. Now the bases are extreme, you need a few spells to come out on top against them.

    The issue has always been that Spells were generally something used by Trophy Hunters, however the change to Elix cost will have a massive affect and open up regular spell useage to farmers too... Which may also be a good thing as more spells mean harder bases are now on the radar... I suspect this will also impact the farming ranges we all know...

    So i hope your right Zach and the reduction in creation time happens... Cause i do think its a game changer in so many ways

    Seriously, give it a little thought.
    My gut feel, based on the last month, is that after a few days, there would be a loot drought like no other. We'd all be raiding like there's no tomorrow, sucking loot out of the inactives, and despite a collector boost, the overall loot pile would do down down down... Eventually it might rebalance, but only because people stop raiding so hard because there's no loot; the only reason left to raid, would be to chase trophies, or chase that elusive lucky find...

    I knew that 12hr for 1 gem was overkill, but I was hoping it would be replaced by 4hr for 4 gems. I might be able farm that much from bushes & mushrooms.

    Exactly, which is why I think we may be due for another reduction before too long.
