I agree. Every base will have 4 seeking air mines because they are so cheap. This is a huge blow to healer/giant and significant blow to air in general.
I always thought the little pulsing "bubble/shield" around the healer should disapear when hit by a black balloon and leave her hp as they were. Then she could die to an additional balloon or to regular damage
Seems to be a nice update for me. However:
As many people point out: Using healers are dead by the cost of seeking air mines. I have fun using them occasionally so far. Too bad. (Most people like me come with just 1-3 healers. All of them can be wipe out so easy right now)
My main concern: using elixirs to create spell. Many people may like it but I'm feel uncomfortable with this.
This is the feedback from the person who have only 1 thing left to upgrade using elixirs (Goblins LV 6, all other things already maxed out. Didn't upgrade goblins 6 yet since my lab currently being used for hogs lv 5) My elixirs are full or nearly full right now (7.5-8millions) I always have plenty of elixirs with me too.
However, the cost of troops using to win on hi league (such as master league. I'm not in champion yet) already at 100-200k elixirs and usually if I use 5 spells, it will cost another 100k+ gold. (Most people who attack my base now using all 5 spells and I usually need at least 2-3 spells to win the match against people in the same league.)
Now, if I attack the same way, with everything costing elixirs, it will need at least 200-250k+ elixirs to win the match. I really doubt that cheaper troops and less spells will stand much chance. Therefore, it's really really hard to make a profit back from elixirs you spend. It is quite hard to take everything from strong bases and plus league bonus, usually you will get just $200-250K elixirs from the win.
On higher league, it will be much harder to get a profit from elixirs and keep you to continue, to maintain your league positions and to make a trophy put. (I know that at champion leagues, you need to gem anyway. However, I did get to nearly 3000 trophies without using gems on troops, just 1 gem on a spell boosts during the Halloween month and as long as I keep elixirs profits, I can keep continue. This can't be done again.)
I dont think the air mines will make a big change. There are a lot of ppl that until now have not bothered even to buy the cheapest traps and bombs, not to talk about air bombs and mines. What would change their minds now? At high level situation is somewhat different but please note the reduced radius of the air bombs and mines, they dont cover the base as well as previously. What comes to me, I have always had them all and will upgrade to the max asap. The show must go on.![]()
Just click on the barracks and then click the info on each individual troop. Just the archer, wall breaker and balloon got a different picture.
Looks like you have the complete opposite problem than about 99% of the people in the forums. Everyone has a surplus in elixir and a deficit in gold. Since the majority of people are always overflowing in elixir and requesting new uses for it I'm guessing SC decided to put the excess elixir to good use.
Huge blow for healers but not a huge blow for balloons. I just read SneakyDaves response to the new change in DE air bomb cost and he has a point but in regards to trophy hunters. Usually those who attack with Balloonion armies set off 3 or 4 of the seeking air mines when attacking. That means if each seeking air mine costs 50k gold each they would be spending 200k gold to replace all 4 of the DE air bombs! lol So I guess it's not entirely bad that they cost 15k a piece. I just think there could have been a better way of balancing the price of seeking air bombs, perhaps even leaving them back to spending DE on them. I like your idea of the "bubble shield", that would be something neat to implement and would be a nice counter to seeking air mines and healers.

I'm still undecided on how I feel about this. It's great for trophy hunters, but I'm still suspicious that it will be better for farmers to just leave them alone. I am contemplating upgrading the small bombs and the weaker air bomb. It's a good addition anyway, whether I actually think they are worth it or not.

To add one concern, I am running out of elixir when using dragons together with spells. I can impossibly get enough elixir from a raid to compensate for e.g. 6 dragons and 4 spells. That worries me some. Yet, I can always change to cheaper troops here and then, as the lvl6 giants became again stronger. It is after all more than previously to choose and use different strategies.
Change the "End Battle" to his previous place please, so annoying
