Well here goes. I have a max th 10 that I started on my iPhone 4. My phone started to die so I went to an Android note 4.(linked devices and saved in Game Center)all’s good until 2 Year’s later my note starts to die. Upgraded to iPhone 8 , had to set up a new apple account because i don’t remember the last one. When I tried to link devices again it said already linked to 2 devices. Thought about downloading Game Center but it looks like a hacking procedure. Not sure what to do.

Yeah it does take time but at the same time as you say, it’s better for security. You’d rather wait a few weeks more to get it than have your village handed over to someone else.
