    How to use Dragons

    Hi guys, wanted to share a breakdown I did for the TH9 Dragons. We have had a number of 3 stars with it recently. In summary when scouting a base the important aspects to look for are:
    1) Ensure you can use a non-traditional Zap-Quake to take out 2 AD with 3 Lightning and an EQ (usually within a single compartment and 1 tile apart).
    2) Work out which set of AD to Zap-Quake. Take note of pathing for heroes to get to a third and the back end Lavaloon to the final AD and an Xbow if possible.
    3) Plan Dragon funneling. You need them to sweep the base but drive them directly into the middle of the base to ensure they target defences as a priority.
    4) Spell composition. This is standard 3 Lightning 1 EQ and 1 Rage. Dragons are good for alot of CC troops, if its a fresh hit or a tough CC consider a Poison, if not you can take a Haste for the back end lavaloon.
    5) Ensure your funneling is well planned and established before attacking. Your Zap-Quake will create a funnel on one side whilst a Baby Dragon can create it on the other for heroes to enter where you want. This in turn helps to set the Dragons to the core and consider the pathing of Balloons (depending on the layout you may want to surgically deploy onto a few defences and close in on the AD/Xbow, or you may be able to deploy in a single pack).

    You dont need 3 lightning when using zap quake. The point of zap quake is that you can use 2 lightning one eq to take out an air defense. For maxed th9 bases in war usually lavaloonion or govaho are the best strategy. Drags usually only 2 star.

    Watch the video to understand what he is saying. it is 3 zap quake to take out 2 Air defenses not 1.. You will know the strategy if u watch or play in competitive leagues.

    Don't see air defenses that close together very often. Assume its a CWL thing, maybe it'll trickle into the general population over time?
    It's always the closet engineers that are the most bitter. Trying to maintain a righteous pose while doing exactly what they claim to hate, lashing out at anyone that points out the obvious.

    Maybe so, but in the first video he certainly didn't need to use 3 lightning. Not only did the 2nd AD not fall, but it simply wasn't needed, as the AQ would have gotten it regardless

    the 3 Lightning and eq were supposed to destroy 2 air defences and the queen would take out a third. But since it didn’t get destroyed for whatever reason, he had to use his heroes to finish it off instead of using them for attacking the other side. The lavahound and loons should ideally only have to attack 1 air defence.

    This strategy is basically built around 3 lightning-eq anyway. A dragon attack with the classic 2 Lightning would be a different strategy I would think.

    We never see bases foolish enough to put ADs so close together, or so close to the outside...

    I hit 5560 on my th9. Is that a competitive league?
