Two out of two lost since the change. I noticed something immideately. The mortar placement actually lures the majority of hogs (both attacks from the north) to the core. It looks like a siginificant problem in the design, or am I doing something wrong?

Never mind. I made the mistake. I placed a cannon where a storage should have been, disrupting the whole hog-path. It was late when I remodeled yesterdayWith well rested eyes I can now see that the hog path is perfect. I'm placing the double lvl3 bomb in the north and east corner since I expect most attacks to come from north-northeast (since the CC is lurable from that position).
Clean slate again. I'm looking forward to the first attack! Thanks for the reply though.

So heres my take on this base design. Its been working well for me. Hogs are staying on the outer edge as planned. Double big bomb was a great tip, although mine do need to be maxed. Holding most hog armys to one star now. It is susceptible to air attack more, but usually only two storages lost. Notice de storage and cc in inner ring on corners near AD. This ensures enough distance from center to keep hogs moving around the edge. Great guide and tips. Hopefully this will help other crack the hog madness! Gla
very lame hog attack, no heal spells, didn't lure cc or heroes. It was a second attack wc is why the giant bombs weren't there anymore. upgrading 3 def bldgs- archtwer one tesla and xbow though. working like a charm, awesome

Currently testing V2.0 in Masters III - rank 2695 for Nakama Union's trophy push. I'm a TH9 with maxed defenses and 30% lvl9/70% lvl8 walls. My giant bombs were only level 2 so I'm getting those up to level 3 asap. When I got low on DE I swapped the AQ and DE storage so the AQ is not easily lurable. I also moved the cannon at the top one more tile so CC is not as easily lured.
I've had mixed results so far with a couple wins but mostly 1-2 star losses. A couple of recent times I've won, the hogs got blown up by the double bombsand they get 30-35% but then someone comes along a few minutes later and 2-stars me before I have a chance to restock CC and re-arm traps.
Pic attached now. The 3 arrows are where 1) I swapped AQ with DE 2) I swapped AT with Cannon while AT is upgrading 3) Moved Cannon one tile out so CC is harder to lure. Note I've got 2 giant bombs upgrading in the upper right so I am a little weakened atm.
