So, here is the extended version of my show and tell post it is definitely longer than the 400 words allowed for the contest but, I wanted to post it here in case anyone wants to read the entire post. Anyway...... here it is

Our journey began in August of 2012 when I came upon a clearing in the jungle. I decided this would be a great spot for our new village. So, I set up camp with all the provisions necessary to sustain myself and the villagers, who for some unknown reason, decided to elect me chief. As with all new settlements, we needed a source of income and a defense to protect those resources. We began the task of mining for gold and drilling for the elixir needed to train our armies. Our defenses were limited in the early days. Just the basics. Cannons, Mortars, archer Towers....... etc.
Soon after we settled in our new village, we were viciously attacked by some unknown army. Much of our resources were lost in the onslaught. We realized we needed to upgrade our defenses and seek revenge on the dastardly heathens who threatened our very existence. We put together a team to come up with new defenses and to train new troops to insure our survival. The results were astounding. We developed a hidden Tesla, x-bows, and a spell factory to thwart off the enemy troops and to seek out those who wish to do us harm.
We formed an alliance with up to 49 other villages in which we could help each other with advice and troops for the defense of our village. The donated troops needed a separate place in which to reside so as to prevent those troops from infiltrating our own army and fomenting a rebellion. So, we built a clan castle for them to reside in. The donated troops were not too intelligent in the early days. But, by the end of 2012, we finally convinced them they could jump over the walls to persue troops that are attacking the village.
About this time, the waterfall that was on the NE side of the village dried up for some reason. We set our sights on developing a way to desalinize the water from the sea to sustain us.
We developed 2 new offensive hero units in early 2013. But, these giant behemoths were not satisfied by the standard elixir we had on hand. So, we set our sights on finding a new source of sustenance to feed their voracious appetites. We discovered a dark form of elixir that seemed to satisfy them. It also had the added bonus of allowing us to develop a different form of troop with some great benefits, as well as special spells that could be conjured up from this magical liquid. At first it was just minions, Hog Riders, and Valkyries. That was soon followed by the golem and the witch. This allowed us to take our attacks to a whole new level.
We also made great strides in our defenses in 2013. An air bomb and seeking air mines were developed to address the increase in air attacks against our village at that time. We also developed an inferno tower and used it primarily to protect our precious Dark elixir. This allowed us to vastly improve the the abilities of our heroes.
2014 brought big changes to our village. We decided to take our clan to the next level and seek out collective battles in which our alliance could fight as a group against other alliances for the benefit of us all. The air defenses of our opponents made the air attacks seem much more difficult in those days. So, we developed a Lava Hound from our Dark Elixir barracks to distract the air defenses, while our balloons, dragons, minions ....... etc., could destroy the opponents much easier. The air attack became viable again. Apparently, our enemies may have copied our lava Hound because they started using them against us as well. To address this situation, we developed an air sweeper to slow down the air assaults in early 2015.
2015 brought many other changes as well. We developed a dark spell factory to take advantage of the awesome power that could be derived from the black gold. We also developed a method to prevent the lightning storms from evaporating our resources when the lightning struck our storages. We developed 2 new defenses as well. The grand warden and the eagle artillery. These two units helped immensely when being attacked by very developed armies. The grand Warden could also be used as an offensive troop.
Before December 2015, we noticed that if you left your Town hall outside of the village walls, many attackers would call off the attack as soon as the town hall was destroyed and, we did not lose much loot in the process. After December 2015, we lost much more loot when the town hall was destroyed and the attacks were more frequent. So, we moved our town hall inside the village walls to protect our resources. That seemed to solve the problem.
2016 was a slow year. We did develop a few new troops which helped increase our attacking power. The Bowler and miner served that purpose well and the dragons also had a baby in 2016. We developed a bomb tower to help in our defense as well.
in 2017, a mysterious boat appeared on the shoreline of our village. We fixed the boat and sent out an exploration party to see what was beyond the shores of our village. Apparently, they found a whole other world out there. While this world is fairly new to us, We are looking forward to what this new world will bring us. Only time will tell.
In the meantime, our search for the unknown village who attacked us when we were a new settlement continues. We will not rest until we get our revenge.
