Lavaloonian 0 star??? (i need help)

i have used lavaloonian for a while and have had trouble with it. in war when i attack max th9s, i usually get a zero star, even with lavaloonian. how i did my attack:

lure out cc using hog and kill with heroes and poison

place 3 hounds targeted towards 2 air defenses (no 4th one because my clan doesnt want to give me one)

place a wave of 8 balloons behind the set of 2 hounds, then do the same with the single hound.

place 2 rages on the balloon to move them towards the air defenses

place minions at the back to clean up

place another rage and heal where needed

watch the attack





the huge problems are that my balloons get annihilated very quickly and that the minions always go around the town hall, resulting in a 0 star (somewhere in the 40% range)


can anyone help?
also, if lavaloonian, the 'best' th9 air attack, doesnt work in war anymore, what other air attacks can i use?

Sorry, I really don't know how to help without a video of your replay.
I'd suggest posting an actual video of your attack (or at least screenshots throughout your attack).
Otherwise, I'm sure there are some useful youtube videos which could solve your issues.

Join a clan that fills clan castles. You won’t be 3 staring without a full, max CC.

Bring 3 rage and 3 haste (one poison in CC). Make sure you spread your balloons out.

Dont use minions, you should have lavapups left over for clean up.

Lava loon is one of the strongest attacks, but I felt you want to change strategies, another air attacks you could use are golaloon. Click here look at good examples of this attack.

Definitely agree with him. You need a clan which is always active, so that you get donations (make sure you donate as well though, or they won't donate back).
