In order for this game to thrive for years, they need to innovate and bring out updates that are unique and new features. Can't just keep raising the troop and building levels to keep players interested, let alone spending lots of money on it. There was a top grossing ios strategy game called Battle Nations, it thrived for about 1-1.5 year and now it is near the bottom of the top 100 grossing chart. They kept bringing out the same old update without a lot of innovation, and I hope supercell won't follow the same path.
But Supercell is extremely successful, not sure if this was already brought up before, but SC has been kicking butts on the top grossing chart with just 2 games: http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/...ad-game-maker/
Although many casual games eventually end up closing up shop, Clash of Clans is not anywhere near that point. The game continues to experience tremendous growth in terms of the amount of users playing and sticking around and we expect more of the same in the future! I've only been at Supercell for a couple of weeks, but I can tell you they are committed to making sure that Clash of Clans and Hay Day last for MANY, MANY YEARS, not just months!
I hope that does just a little something to allay your concerns. We appreciate your dedication to the game and the fact that you would take time to voice your concerns on our forums! Don't hesitate to let us know if any pop up in the future!
