If nothing else, it looks darn cool, I think

And now looking at the picture, I lol'd to the archer girls on the fence
I like the first/second layer a LOT. Looks very effective. @cake I would go with forte's tesla core, but try to build something like this around it.

Okay Toby, why did you have to make base designing so much more complicated! Mazing is like designing an entire base out of funnels, haha

I tried my hand at one with a vault core:

Any and all comments are appreciated.

    This is too early, but…

I know we havent officially started the TH8 one, but this is my TH8 half and half base. Labyrinth outer layer, normal base the rest. The gobs shouldnt target the core, as there is a ring of defenses with no resource buildings inside. The giants (hopefully, tell me wot u think) should b quite happy runny around the outer layer, having flying lessons and being made into pincushions etc. it should also b stronger against wbs, as the second layer is closed off. Anyway, tell me wot u think

On the original vault base design thread, I had a crack at a TH8 vault with labyrinth-style outer layer. Check my comment on page 2 along with 3-4 other TH8 vaults.

Can't wait to see a TH8 come out of this thread

For a compact core with no DE lightning protection, I vote a staggered five building core like in my design.

    (See above)

For a larger core with slightly more DE lightning protection, I vote for Forte's tesla core.

Both have their benefits, I am just more biased towards compact cores because it is much easier to design the outer layers without neglecting certain defences e.g. mortars and air defences.

This core is interesting but it makes staggering the junctions so difficult, lol.

    Lol!

Not bad at all, i think it would do very well, exept for the CC placement. 100% lureable.
Also, the ADs are quite exposed.

In other news, a good labyrinth>gowipe. Once I find a diferent way to upload, I'll put up pics of that.

So yes, i think forte's tesla core with a good labyrinth second/first (?) layer would be most effective.

I decided to swap two of central ATs with two ADs to improve AD coverage. I also switched one gold storage with the CC and swapped the DE with the CC. Now the CC is 100% unlurable but the DE is slightly less protected.
