I LOVE Virginia! Lived there decades ago, first in Falls Church, then in Springfield. I've always maintained that VA smells good. Must have been the irises that were in bloom when we first moved there, and I've associated that sweet smell with VA ever since. And the countryside is gorgeous, especially in the fall.

Well hey neighbor of the past! I love Falls Church, and my husband and I lived there for a few years. Now we're in Fairfax and it still smells pretty good! Haha :-)

I'm glad you bumped this thread up, Annie, as it's the first time I've seen it. Been great seeing where everyone is from...some I already knew and some I now know.

I have been living in Idaho (Boise area) for the past 10½ years, but was born and raised in Southern California (Los Angeles County). It is Friday, 12:50 p.m., and the air has been quite crisp with Fall.

It's 1:55 pm Friday afternoon and it's a perfect day here in Oakland, California! 64 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Haystacker and I are neighbors but I live on the good side of the bay.
