    Most important is that we are paired against a team whose average # stars in 20v20 war is about 55.6. Our clan almost never gets more than 50 stars a war.

    We have 1 TH11. We are paired against 9. They have a super engineered clan.

    We stink at wars. It's extremely frustrating that we are paired against clans that have better records than us. We are not good and we should be paired against clans that are similarly not good. It's not all about the record too...look at the average stars earned per war. Better yet, I think there should be a more detailed analysis pairing up players in each war.

    Its not so much about defensive weighting vs. offensive weighting. It's about the players and if players don't attack well it doesn't matter how strong their offense capability is.

    Just so frustrating warring now. Its no longer fun. I'm probably going to put down the game, maybe come back in the future when it gets better? Certainly not going purchase Clash of Clans products because, frankly, I would rather have the old matchmaking algorithm now than the new one.

    Whether you stink at wars or not is not important. One TH11 vs. nine TH11s?

    That's all that should matter.

    My clan used to be bad at war, too. Before the matchmaking change, we got to the point that we either had 29 stars or a perfect war. It'll take time, so don't quit.

    Comment:They have 11 TH11s compared to 4 TH11s for us. All of them have wardens and some max attack troops. There top 2 bases have eagles and we have none. They're going to have to be pretty bad to lose this war. In fact, they'll have to be pretty bad to not be perfect. And they've won the last 4, so I don't think they're bad.

    I think clans should be paired against those with similar skill levels. You think it’s fair if a high school football team plays against a college football team? It’s the same game.

    The more I think about it stinky clans should fight against other stinky clans. Top notch clans can fight amongst each other. I can design a TH11 base of similar, or exactly the same, defensive capabilities as a TH9. But it’s about the players no? This game is all about people and their skill levels.

    That would be great, but Supercell cannot tell who is "stinky" and who is not. The only obvious choice is to match TH level to TH level, then defense levels, then troop levels. I'm there are realistic limits to what is feasible, though.

    Comments: This is a horrendous matchup after some decent ones lately.
    Breakdown is: 14/5/11 vs 22/6/2
    Here's how it looks so far:
    Two of their 11's are TH8/9 defensively sitting at the bottom of the war map with mid-teens heroes (and max laloon). They took out are toughest nines. Their 2 real 9's couldn't do anything attacking wise. They have one 9.5 with max 10 troops and mid 20's heroes. The rest of their 10's are maxed out defensively. For the rest of the 11's, they have 11 with eagles (we have 13). Although some don't have max heroes, they all have max laloon which they used to mass laloon our 10's for 3 stars (we have high level CWL quality anti-3 bases). So far (based on 2 attacks), our max 11's are faring better as their laloon or bowler spam isn't getting them much on our eagle bases. After taking out their bottom 4 bases (two nines and two engineered 11's), our nines are using up the rest of their 18 attacks!!! to scout their bases.

    I'm looking forward to the extra GW war weight because this is totally getting ridiculous.

    Comment: Defensive weights need adjusting. A maxed townhall 9.11 is (88K) which is less than a maxed townhall 10 (90K) but is harder to triple than the maxed townhall 10. The maxed townhall 9.11 should weigh at a minimum 91K to match it’s defensive strength.

    The point defenses (archer towers, cannons, teslas and air defenses need more weight)

    Here is where the war was won/loss

    4: 86K 10.5 (25 BK, 35 AQ, 14 GW) vs
    86K 9.11 (45 BK, 45 AQ, 20 GW)
    5: 71K 9.5 (31 BK, 35 AQ) vs
    82K 9.11 (35 BK, 45 AQ, 20 GW)
    6: 70k 9.11 (23 BK, 24 AQ, 15 GW) vs
    78K 9.11 (40 BK, 41 AQ, 10 GW)
    7: 69K 9 (23 BK, 27 AQ) vs
    75K 9.11 (30 BK, 31 AQ, 12 GW)
    8: 62K Eng 11 (45 BK, 45 AQ, 20 GW)
    73K 9.5 (20 BK, 25 AQ)

    They had the advantage both offensively and defensively. Not unwinnable but one side had to be significantly better than the other just to achieve parity.

    We lost by 1 star while winning the total destruction 96.67 to 94.33 as we failed to 3 star base 4.

    Whatever changes to match making were recently made undo them. They are producing horrendous uneven matches. It has now been over a month and not much has changed. SC developers have taken away good 3 star attacks on max th11's from several troop types like miners only to provide war matches that we are out numbered on eagles by 3-4 in a 15v15 matchup. Total garbage! You are and will continue to lose players until this is fixed.
