Apologies for the earlier trolling (couldn't resist) but here's a suggestion: a good red flag for heavy Engineers is when there is suddenly a town hall 11 far below his 9,10 comrades. Usually the Bowler, Lavahound, Balloon, Miner are maxed (any if not all of them).
There should be a way for matchmaking to specifically also identify these players. Sometimes they appear in the 4-7 range in a 15-20 man war below lower town halls (they are usually below a max 9 or 10). Sometimes they appear even lower down depending on their lack of defense.
Maybe try to implement an additional parameter into matchmaking that will link up these TH11s with an opponent with a near-max th11 defense. If they have maxed key troops it's only fair to meet near max defense and not bully a th10 in war.

The problem with this matchup is they get an easy 25 stars and we get an easy 22 stars.
Both sides will need to 3 star near max th11 bases to improve on those figures .
Ultimately we need to 3 star, 3 near max th11 just to match there easier attacks.
So basically.....
They have stronger heros, way more max attacks, way stronger defences.

It seemed up to the last update, that the mismatching was fixed. The last two wars we are getting engineered idiots again. Last war defenseless from 10 to 15, extra engineered 11 sitting at number 4 with a level 10 warden. This one has an extra th 11 with maxed troops , mid level defenses, 40/41/20, so they have an extra warden/ eagle . None of their 9 s have xbows, they have a 10 sitting midway on the map with th 8 defenses and one lvl 2 inferno. I can’t see how supercell can not match top bases, with max troops, wardens and eagles. As a clan we are just about done. We have an excellent war log but hate losing before we even drop a troop. Note we are running no engineered bases.

Comment: warweight mismatch. One TH11 and two TH10 (them) against two TH10 and one TH9 (us). The opponents TH11 was almost maxed, also the troops he played only the eagle was missing. They gained an easy 45 Stars in a 15 vs 15 battle, we could do only 39. No chance on opponents TH11.

War matchmaking - They are little stronger at top - but that is not a huge deal. The issue is their #13 base - engineered base 3 starring our #3 and our #4 base. Engineering has been a problem for a while, but now they can use the new spell to maximize troops for their town hall .... as this player did against our #3 base. I see this as a huge issue going foward. It will get even worse when th12 is added. War was the best part of the game. Clan games are okay ... but are too long and for a working adult ... they tend to wear you out and seem like an additional job. Just want to play the game and have a little fun.

It seemed we were getting our exact mirror with maybe one unfair one thrown in for about 10 wars. We also searched for two hours, which is fine if the war is fair. Now it seems like we are right back to where we started. I know the talent pool in lower level wars ain't so hot but I hate getting beat by people who dip on every attack. Give them an extra 9 or even mid level 10 but seeing a th 11 with low defenses midway on the map with a maxed warden is stupid.
