I think you should make a new hero and the name would be Wizard Keeper and he would go for the all of the geared up defences then he will go for what ever is left at the time.This will be for town hall 6 and above it will cost 100 000 gold to buy then you will have to keep using gold until you get to town hall 10 at town hall 10 you can then chose to use gold or elixir then you will have to keep using that recurs. Once it is at level 5 you will have a ring of fire and that will dell a little bit of damage HE WILL NOT COST ANY DARK ELIXIR

I am not totally postive but i thought gear ups started at th7 anyway as for your idea your want a hero that needs to use gold to work all the time ? Thats a very bad idea because if you are constantly spending gold to use your hero you will struggle to upgrade your defenses and walls for starters example one piece of th7 wall costs 200,000 th8 wall costs 500.000 so wasting gold on training a hero is in my opinion a non starter

Out of curiosity, why would it target geared up defenses? As an example, my gear ups are in the core of my base. That means this hero would have to break through multiple walls and walk past several active defenses to even begin to target something. He'll die super quickly
