Camping Derby!

Thanks for your answer. Could you please tell us how often there will be themed derbies? Like every third week or every fourth week is a themed one. It could be more easy to tolerate them if we knew what is going to happen. But every two weeks would be absolutely too often.

My sentiments exactly ! I was under the impression that themed derbies would be somethin special. Now they are a regular event. Once every 3 or 4 weeks would, I believe, suit almost everybody.

i just want to say that this is the worst derby, in my opinion, that i have ever participated in.

i hate production tasks. i do not stack, i do not want to stack. i do not like tasks that take a day. that includes fishing. i hate fishing, too, for the same reason, it takes too long. i take derby seriously. i shoot for a perfect score (10x320). i put my game on hold. town visitors, truck orders, etc. are all on hold waiting for tasks.

not only have the higher point tasks been rare, but in this derby, there is NO 'normal' task (like help, train, crop, anything other than production) with bonus points. beyond that, i've seen one 'normal' 320 point task. i've already decided i'm not waiting for the 400 pt production tasks, because it is too frustrating, but i can't even find 320 point tasks. it's thursday. i've done one help task. i'm normally done by now.

I haven’t seen a single 400 pt task. The higher point fishing tasks don’t count as far as I’m concerned, they are only achievable if you have a large fishing area and I’d imagine even then they are not very fun.

Im only on my 3rd task and I am usually well on my way to being done by now as well. I’m just going to take what comes to get through with this derby and opt out of the future themed ones. The frustrations with this one have outweighed the fun of playing derby.

We have still, not had a 400 point task and only fishing ones are at all high point. Looks like most are in the same boat😀 I am only concerned now about finishing as some of the tasks are slow and I will be time restricted this weekend.

I'm reading your post and can't help but chuckle. Your playing style and likes are polar opposite of mine. I detest boats, trucks, and help tasks. I love the strategy of production and stacking. I don't see the Camping Derby as a big fail, just one with some fixes to be done. I look forward to these derbies and find the normal ones kinda boring.

This is what makes HD such an amazingly designed and constructed game. Any number of styles of play are available. Even the derby has a number of options to fit different likes and dislikes. We, as players, just have to learn to share and take turns.

oh my. I'm sitting here praying for a fishing event. I have 1 400 pt fishing task that I'm sitting on. An event would sure help with resources.

i agree that it's a good game. otherwise i wouldn't play it, or spend time here talking about, and sometimes complaining about, it...

i think that there is a common ground, and that can be helped by a mix of tasks that appeal to the different type of players.

like i said, i hate the long tasks. i will literally wait all day for a task that doesn't make me, literally wait all day.

the themed derbies have had crops or train etc. tasks mixed in with the 'theme' for those that do not like production tasks. this one does not, and apparently is FUBAR with task propagation. THANKS, SC...

i don't like boats. i love trucks. i like production, for trucks. not having to 'game the game' to 'stack' in a manner not intended in normal game play to participate in a 'theme' derby. meanwhile i have town and trucks and such shut down waiting on a decent 320 task. they can do better.
