Thread: TH8 Farming (maxed out TH7)

    TH8 Farming (maxed out TH7)

    ok, so now I have only like 1 day and 9 and half hrs remaining for my maxed TH7 to become a TH8 and I need a base. so I made one myself and here it is:

    http://www.clashofclans-tools.com/Layout-13010 (works better with google chrome than internet explorer) (no my town hall wont be maxed right away that's just how it is)

    I think it will do really well.

    First of all, I know there are 2 storages at the bottom n ur like ♥♥♥ why isn't it in ur base. well, those will be just lvl 1 for a while, i'll start upgrading them once im near-maxed cuz its easier to guard 5 storages (2 gold, 2 elixir, 1 DE) than 7 storages (+1 gold, +1 elixir). No i'm not focusing on my DE completely. I know ur like well its pretty easy to get the 2 storages that are next to that archer tower. yes, but think about. air or ground troop, u have to activate a trap to get in. then u have 2 mortars, and AD, a wiz tower, and like 3 cannons/AT all protecting it.

    for the top I know the air coverage is REALLY weak, but if u use ground troops, u definitely need like at least 10-15 WB to get to both storages, unless u have rage spell. for air troops, by the time u get to the storages, both AD are attacking, and u got the CC, and wiz tower.

    the CC is semi-centralized, and the whole base is near-symmetrical (wall and trap design and placements design are 100% symmetrical [except for TH], just the buildings are different)

    but here are some things that really annoy me:

    -a lot of cannons and AT on bottom, barely any on top
    -bottom 2 protected storages are pretty easy to get to
    -BK isn't protected so well, and a HT is on the outside
    -im like wasting 2 AB
    -I don't like how 2 wiz tower and an AD are in the same compartment
    -2 HT, all 3 mortars, and 2 AD are in the same compartment
    - not great protected DE

    and things I like:

    -all 4 storages are in different compartments
    -CC is a bit hard to lure out
    -extra barrier just filled with traps on left and right so all troops will avoid that area (except for balloons :/)
    - trap must be activated, many walls must be passed, or u must face an AD to access at least 1 storage(excluding the DE storage on top for ground troops)(yes even the lvl 1 storages on the bottom, cuz of HT)

    really would love feedback, hope u guys like it, and thx!

    thx but I have 2 thing to say

    1) I wanted feedback on my base I didn't ask for a base
    2) I searched him up. his base is pretty bad and I don't like it. and the fact that its like 2-starred at like 75% is not very convincing and I wanted a FARMING base not hybrid.

    I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but I'll be brutally honest with you. I think this design is rather broken just doesn't work.

    -Your DE is easy pickings with archers
    -Your upper grid is filled with x-junctions
    -One gold storage is one wall from attackers, the other has no walls protecting it.

    I don't really care how many defenses you have, a semi-decent BAM would kill this base and would take all of your resources.

    I'm sry Pranav but here are some problems
    -Almost anyone will be able to get the de storage.
    -Most to all storages are easily accessible
    -Non-Symmetrical
    -All to most junctions improper
    -All mortars in 1 compartment making it easy to destroy all and a lack of coverage to the rest of the base
    What I don't really get is what you are trying to protect beacause ideally you want 1 or 2 storages that nobody can reach and I don't see any of the kind like that and because you only have 2 of each storage a break to 1 of them will equal to somebody stealing 100K of your resources

    Start here Pranav Start Base Designing
    Basically they mean this:

    • Your DE is very easy to get to. I don't get what you mean about not DE focused. As any decent army comp that you will use as you go higher will need DE troops. Or if not, you'll probably want to upgrade BK or get your AQ right? You'll need to protect your DE to do so. There's a reason it's the most valuable resource in the game.
    • I tend to agree. You should put your WT near your gold to protect it. Some farmers use elixir storage as bait, since at the higher levels of TH8 elixir will be overflowing. Up to you.
    • Non-Symmetrical - a lot of good bases you can cut down the middle and both halves look alike. That's called Symmetry
    • Junctions - To get the best defense out of your junctions they should form a T not an X. T junctions give attackers access to 2 more areas after the wall is broken. X junctions give access to 3 more areas. It's harder to get into your base with T junctions.
    • Mortars were explained very well
    • The link he gave gives you tips on designing a good base. It's not a link to a already made base. Before you start telling people it's not what you want, how about look at it?

    Did you even read the link? At what point did it say a town hall 8 base? It was a link to a thread telling you how to design a base. Please don't assume things. As it makes an a$$ out of u and me.
