for 1 hour, but not if you've already tapped on it within the last 24 hrs. It shows up again 25 hours after the last time you tapped on it.
Just saw ghost at 4:41 pm pacific time. It was on water. Tapped it, got a board. Ghost turned into chicken with snorkel gear, fell into water and disappeared.
Note last night at the time I usually see the ghost (around midnight) I went a little too late (30 mins than when I usually do) so he/she must have left. I had not spotted it at all until just now.
