Hey everyone,

I just wanted to take some time to thank all the clans for participating and also to say thank you to everyone who had kind words of encouragement for me.

To be honest, I am suprised that it turned into a recruitment contest in the end, and I think Daddy is correct when he declared that this was really 3 competitions... Recruitment, total cups, and cups gained.

When I initially made the contest, I thought it was ending with the league season, and therefore top players would be forced to stay in their home clans rather than give a forum contest clan a boost, and I do wonder if the contest would have been different had the end date been coordinated with the end of the league season.

That said, the next one of these that I do, and there will be another one, will need a few more rules. I want to be clear here, and state that I in no way regret any of the rules from this contest. Achieving number 1 and number 2 in global clan rankings was fun to watch, but now that it has been done, I wonder if anyone would want to see it again? That is the reason for updated rules in the next one.

The suggestion of having clans submit rosters ahead of time was made multiple times in this thread, and I think that rosters in combination with a set number of roster moves is probably the right level of balance I'm looking for.... (Being able to recruit when in the top 200 is a key part of any cup run). However, would clans still sign up for a contest that required actual work? Who would track the rosters and would it even be worth the effort? Would rosters that clans were forced to adhear to add to the overall enjoyment and fun of the contest or would it just create additional drama?

These are questions I have been thinking about and do not know the answer to.

Thanks again to all participants, you all did awesome!

until next time
Nate
