No issues here...
seems like a lot of TH10's like to build infernos while having weak walls, troops, and heroes. TH9 likes to skip wall upgrades and max bows...
if if you rush..you will get handled by people who don't...

1) TH10 as 9.5, no infernos, 2 lv4 xbows, max 9 defs, lv9 walls, 20AQ, 19BK, witch/hound lv1, drag lv4, other troops & most spells maxxed for 9 (.5 engy)
2) TH9, max defs, lv9 & some 10 walls, all max troops & spells, lv 17AQ, lv 16BK
3) TH9, max defs, lv8s & 9 walls (about half/half), BK & AQ both 13, max troops & spells except witch
4) TH9 as 8.5, max defs EXCEPT no xbows, max walls (lv10), max troops & spells, Lv22 AQ, Lv21 BK (.5 engy)
5) TH8, max defs, mostly lv7 walls, max troops & spells, lv 10 BK
6) TH8, a few unmaxxed defs (but all installed), 70% lv 8 walls & some lv 7s, max troops & spells, Lv10 BK
7) TH8, several unmaxxed defs (all installed), 20% lv8 walls lv 7s mainly, DE troops & spells not maxxed but unlocked, reg spells & troops maxxed, Lv7 BK

Summary: 3 bases construable as engy, 1 true rush, several maxxed bases. 2 TH10s, no infernos, 3 TH9s, 3 TH8s, rest low level reasonable bases.
Them:
1) TH10 as 9.5, max 9 defs, no infernos, max th9 troops & spells, Lv 31 AQ & BK. (Looks like it maxxed 9 purely, is a new rollover) (.5 engy, sort of)
2) TH10 as 9.5, no infernos, max 9 defs with some 10 upgrs, 2 xbows, max 9 troops/spells, unlocked bow&miner, Lv 15 BK & Lv 16 AQ (.5 engy)
3) TH10 as 9.5, no infernos, 2 xbows, lv 8 walls, underleveled DE troops, solid spells, Lv 17 AQ & Lv20 BK (.5 engy)
4) TH10 as 9.5, no infernos, 3 xbows, defs approx TH8 range, walls lv7 & below, no troops unlocked beyond drags, oddly leveled spells, Lv16 AQ & lv17 BK (rushed, basically)
5) TH9 as 8.5, max 8 defs/troops/walls, recentish rollover (maybe 2 months or less), Lv 7 AQ & Lv10 BK (.5 engy)
6) TH10 (prob a minimax of some sort), 1 xbow & random defs, troops only unlocked to lv4 drags, middling spells, minimal walls, AQ 8 & BK 10 (rushed)

Another search and we just got our 3rd consecutive mismatch.
The top 6 of us vs them.
Us:All th10, one new, 10 infernos.
Them:2 th11 with EA and 4 th10, 6 infernos and one new.
How are we supposed to win this war when they clearly have the advantage on both offense and defense up top?
(Neither clan has lop-sided bases, only proper non-rushed bases)
Apparently, SC only cares about publicity and not about its players or else they would have fixed this instead of making useless "Anniversary events".
Compact base builds are easy to 3 star. Poor wall level is easy to 3 star. Upgrading AOE before point target defense will make you heavy before you are ready.
If you have infernos, you hold just max them first and experiment with bases that are more spread out. If you use cookie cutter base builds, you will lose.
-Walls matter
How does that relate to the post you quoted? Brenna's opponent had 3 TH11 attacks on each TH10. Why the condescending basic advice without knowing anything about their bases? TH doesn't tell the whole story, but there's something wrong with a match where the opponent has more TH11s than they have TH10s.

I'm not sure what you are talking about here, the person you are replying to is saying she/he - like quite a few other clans - is now seeing th11s opposite their th10s in multiple lanes, rather than the occasional small one we did before. Those would want to be a really really bad low wall compact cookie cutter 11s to get 3 starred by a 10. The problem is not only that these 11s tend to have more defence than the 10s but also that they have a th11 offence that can go better on the 10s than other 10s could - so the complaint is really being outgunned both on offence and defence up the top of the map.
