It is a mismatch on top 3, anything else doesnt count. But to explain, the rest of the 15vs15 line up is pretty equal, none of the bases on ours and opponents clans ius engineered or even .5

I actually think it is not one time, i start to believe after reading comments that SCs new algorithm to soon declares a label engineered. I run a familyclan which we encourage players to max, clearly some are rushed but definately not in an engineering way. However, all our last 4 wars were against engineers pur sang! We still beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of them twice so no complaint just providing feedback

Bottom line, and this is addressed to Darian, it seems to me the mm change made a difference for sure! I am sure for lots of engineered clans this probably could result in complaints. I see the real maxers get best result, kuddoozz on that!
But, the current algorithm is clearly assuming rushed as engineered and this causing lots of family, friends clans and similar sort of clans to be getting worst matches than before update.
Idont know how to fic but this does need some tweaking at a minimum![]()

Since update war matchmaking sigificantly worse. I am in two clans and both are being matched up with heavily engineered clans. We have a few .5s, but are being matched up with defenseless lower th11 with maxed troops and/or clans with th6 and th7s at the bottom. Current war we have 12 th11s to the opponents 20 th11s.
I would have to agree with this as well. From the other inputs, it seems as though the new system is counting "engineered" as rushers, .5s, minmax and whatever other kind of base out there that is deemed as possibly engineered. If that's the case, than fine at least it gives us a clear intention of the system rather than having to make some uneducated guesses over the course of a week and pissing people off.
It would be nice if SC would come out and say what is being considered as engineered.
Anyway, this poses a new problem. What about those who have just upgraded to a new town hall? Will they be considered engineered because they have yet to get the new defense for that level? In my clan, a new town hall means upgrading camps, lab, and cc as quickly as possible where offense is valued as a priority before acquiring new defensive structures. Does that line of thinking go away with this new system?
Some sort of comment from Darian or some other Supercell spokesperson in regards to how the algorithm works would be nice. That in itself though may be the reason why they're keeping mum so not to give others insight as to how to defeat the system.
Those of us here are smart enough to figure things out by trial and error. Keep posting your thoughts and findings of your war searches and keep us all in the know.
It looks like roster engineering works much better with this algorithm. Our last enemy had a big advantage because of it. This war (10v10) we put 3 almost defenseless and one base with th7 defense at the bottom. All our bases have much better heroes than our opponents.

2-11,2-10 6-9 all defenses down for each various upgrade progress

There has to be a way to get this right with the match maker. I could understand if we were trying to beat the matchmaker but we're playing straight up for a chance at fair matches
