Is this really that big of an issue..
Gemmers are the reason most of us are still playing this game, because that money goes to Supercell...
Then, at least for me, I enjoy getting 500k loot out of the resource collectors of a gemmer who went to town hall 10 and quit playing...
Chill man, why is this even a problem??

I have really struggled to save up enough to get my first l6 giants. Essential at TH9 as anyone will tell you. Then you have to bring your wiz up to spec. Wow that's a real drag to get them up to level 7 . It takes WEEKS. At the end of which there is a sense of achievement.

At the same time, another player with ( one assumes) hundreds of dollars to spend, goes from a medium spec TH8 to a full house TH9 with all maxed troops. They can't then empathise with the months I have spent building up my base and learning how to battle. Nor can they expect any respect for copying a well known base and maxing it out overnight.

Frankly I don't see the point. Though really it doesn't matter what I think in that respect. We each have our reasons for playing the way we do. This chap says its because he "wants to win!"

This is some alternative meaning for the word I am as yet unfamiliar with....

    Garming

We'll Seth.... There shouldn't be nothing wrong with gemming. Heck, most, and I say most yet again, complaints come from people that can't afford to gem or hold a job period! Now what we do is called Garming. Where we gem and farm.... Sure, farming is awesome, but I am so sick of gliding on global and someone crying about my th10

That sounds "mostly" like catagorizing people in a negative way.

This. Seriously. This isn't the first game in the world to provide a shortcut for time with money and it won't be the last. Some people make enough money or have the option of overtime to pay for stuff like that rather than spend even longer farming. Would you honestly spend 20 hours a week bored and farming if you could afford to spend 15 hours of pay on gems and have fun trophy hunting (assuming that was your only interest in the game)?

Some highly polarised views and some fairly aggressive guesswork as to my motives. The only point I am making is that people who buy their way inti the game are very defensive about that choice. Surely if they are comfortable about spending so much money on something then they really ought to be ambivalent to any criticism they might encounter.

But I am not criticising, merely wondering out loud why people who spend gems to progress though the game get so angry if you dare mention it. It's almost as if they want to hide the fact....

I am genuinely quite interested to know how much they have to spend say, to gem four wiz towers from level 7 to level 8 and what their motivation is to pay for resources that are the fundamental reward for gameplay. I have never managed to maintain a sensible conversation for long enough to even ask.

Finally, I strongly suspect it's the millions of us that spend a few quid on the game who are "paying for it" rather than a few thousand hard core gemmers spending thousands.

If you want to know how much it costs to gem something, go to the wiki and look.

They are defensive because people like you seem to look down on them for it. Are you really this dense? Re-read your posts in this thread and think about how much of a tool you are being.

Really why do you even care what they do?

Maybe he's a janitor and literally doing chores for his gem/wall money. In which case it is a lot more of a chore for him than for us farmers sitting on a couch with a tablet/smartphone.

If you ask about financial matters and don't expect rage,
    You are clearly under-age,
Are you also "genuinely interested" about others' wage,
And how much they paid for their mortgage?
