First off I should say I really have no problem with people buying gems. Why should I? its a free country and people can buy whatever they want, whenever they want. I really don't care.
We have one (at least!) in our clan. Great member, good donator, decent chat all round good egg but when the subject of gems turns up he gets uptight and defensive. Why is that I wonder?
Last time we were bemoaning how much time and effort we put into walls, level 8 and level 9. Its a chore. So our resident gemmer chimes in, " yeah, phew, its a chore" and I'm like "what do you know about that?" Because clearly those impressive level 9 walls are bought and paid for not in battle but in the shop!
Hundreds of 1m gold wall, but only 30m gold earned EVER! The maths doesn't add up. But like I say, it doesn't matter, each to their own.
What I do object to is their trying to empathise with those of us for whom earning wall upgrades is a badge of honour hard won on the battlefield. Its a bit like a group of climbers resting their weary legs at base camp half way up Everest. "That's a tough grind that last ridge" the general conversation goes. "Yeah, what a chore" chimes in a fresh faced newbie, with all brand new shiny gear and all the latest equipment - as he climbs out of his helicopter....
Sarth.

, is just a game, you would not wanna lose a good donator do you?
