First, Frisco - thanks for takiing the time to post. It's appreciated.
As for the content - you yourself have agreed SC can and should do better. Then why doesn't it? If you need more resources, hire more people. HIre better programmers, and for God's sake, hire debuggers!

Expansions: I don't mind that SC included a twist with decos for permits. Having played for several years now, I cleared that area first. Thank goodness, because the permits are coming WAY too slow now. Why? There's no excuse for it.

Wildlife area: It is cute, but it does nothing! As pointed out by others it doesn't add to the game in any way. I hoped that by having two of each animal we might be able to breed them. Doesn't appear there's anything to do with them. Boring.

Themed derbies: There's nothing wong with doing themes. Anything to give the game a boost. But when you can't actually pull it off, when instead of the promised theme we have a week's worth of bugs, where's the "fun" in that?

Bottom line, make things work! Don't release buggy code. Other games manage it, why can't SC? Again, there is no excuse.

You can see, people are getting bored. You need new things to do, not the same things on different patches of land. How about the abiliity to breed animals? How about different buildings that can be created by putting together the materials to create them? How about new animals that roam without needing to be fed - they're just pets that are there, how about new decos period? How about each holiday is a theme that has LOTS of decos, not just the same ones from two years ago? How about the ability to change the landscape to snow? HoW about the ability to light trees at Christmas? How about what we asked for two years ago - the ability to actually reserve a rss box for our own NH - NOTthe bird box with its endless rules and restrictions? How about the ability to make saws and axes? SC gets lots of suggestions, you just ignore most of them.

@Frisco. Thanks for weighing in on the topic. As for me and understanding I'm speaking entirely for myself, I think SC does a great job! I love the town and wish there were a few more changes to it but I can be patient and wait for it to be worked out.
I would love more machines but I can wait patiently for them to come as I'm sure they will.
I would love more animals but I can wait patiently for them to come as I'm sure they will.
I would love more crops and recipes but I can wait patiently for them to come as I'm sure they will.
I would love more decos but .... you get the idea.
Straw hats off to a small incredibly talented group of folks that work hard to bring us a great game while really trying to make us happy and satisfied with your product while keeping the majority of your investors/owner companies at bay to let you have the creative freedom to keep hayday one of the top mobile games out there. It's the only one I will play (and monetarily support).
    So YAY SC!

oh ya almost forgot. If something's s bit buggy here and there I can wait patiently while you fix it.

Thanks Frisco for the response. Many of us do realize things are rarely perfect. There will be bugs and your team does address them promptly. Keep up the good work, even if it is impossible to please everyone.

I don't see why being family friendly prevents having a brewery or distillery, production isn't the problem, consumption is and I agree it wouldn't do for Greg to have an accident with his axe. In the middle ages every big house had a brewery producing litres of beer a day for each person. Beer was much safer to drink than the water. In other climates they used watered wine forvthe same reason. Any argument on religious grounds can be countered by the presence of cows and pigs in the game.

As for the comment about zoo animals not breeding, no surprise there - the rabbits, horses, pigs, etc. Don't breed.

I've often wondered if the decos in the scroll expansion area are the parts needed to set up a beach wedding (Greg and the schoolteacher maybe? ) - just needs a dozen seats from the shop.

The aspect of this derby I do like is the rarity of the maximum point tasks. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it really spices the derby up - people now have to gamble "do I take these less than maximum tasks and complete the derby, or do I wait for maximum point tasks and risk not finishing?" - it's a game and has removed the predictable (boring) formula that many have to be sure of a win every week.

Please improve the people handling in the town, so we can predictably release physically small people from the stack outside a shop (difficult to release a local who is behind a strongman, etc.

Some players are getting a bit frustrated. But others like me are still enjoying the game. There are updates that I liked less than others but I am always happy to see something new

I agree with you both. And the few others that remained positive. If others are so unhappy about this wonderful game then stop playing it already and move on! If some of you are so unhappy with this game, then build your own that fits your wants and needs. The people who work on HayDay are but a small team of members. They can only do so much at a time. And just because you are unhappy with some of the things doesn't mean that everyone else is too. So no I don't think SC hates us, but it's you that seems to hate SC! I have so much more I'd like to say but I doubt it'd do any good. To the hard working people at HayDay, I say good job. I know it's not easy reading all the hate you all receive, so good job on all the ways you handle it.

This has really been my only complaint, and I am glad to see it is noticed by staff and hopefully there is a plan in the works to make it a better feature to the game.

I both disagree and agree with most points here. I certainly can empathize. There are parts I like and parts I hate about the game but I think my reactions to them work better for me. For instance. I really hate to fish. I may be one of the few farmers at my level who has not finished my fishing book. But I love the sound the lobsters and ducks make when I get a notification that they are ready.

Let me play devils advocate just a bit. Having played for almost five years I have watched many players rush to master each aspect of the game. From achievements, and machine mastery to max barn size and full farm expansion. With each new update they would throw themselves into maxing out each new feature, buying every pet, expanding every train and town building etc. Then after each mastery is achieved came the let down. What do we do now. Please oh please give us a new update, more machines, more land, something new and exciting. Each update brought issues with older devices, slow downs, crashes and complaints (and complements). Some were good. Some bad. (This is where I have to bring up the great carrot event).......

There are many types of players. A large portion of people are the type that want to beat the game, win as quickly as possible. Some games like solitaire or other card type games fit those folks well but they can get boring. Other games that are more like Hayday are meant to last longer and when it is mastered then the game has to change or Game fatigue sets in. I used to play a tower game. After 200 floors, the updates stopped. The game got boring and many left it. I found out it is back with many more floors but an added twist that when you reach a certain level, you can choose to start over with special powers that increase each time you start over and rebuild. It seems they have figured out how to deal with game fatigue.

I think Hayday is trying to deal with it by making the end slower to get to. The longer it takes to master everything the longer the game can continue without a device killing update. Did I like the current Derby with the crop tasks? Not so much. But I am usually all done with all my tasks by Wednesday Evening. We do 320 point tasks even when the highest is 400. We are usually first but since first place prizes aren't all that special, we work for horse shoes. If one derby is a dud, we do it, gripe a bit but move on. But my NH has a lot of old timers who are on break and all of us gave up on Derby at the start of summer to tend to our real lives. I think most of us missed the special puzzle event. So you see we are not the most aggressive of players anymore. I can see how the more focused aggressive players can be annoyed that they aren't rewarded by hard word but instead have to wait for time to pass to get that last puzzle piece etc. That type of player isn't bad or wrong or anything, it's just not how I play.

I think Hayday is trying hard to be all things to all types of players. That rarely works but the attempt is appreciated by me at least. There are parts I hate, such as the trader achievement, which seems to take forever, the aforementioned fishing, and the blasted tea machine that I keep forgetting since tea is rarely needed and I can't seem to master. They annoy me but they don't define me or my enjoyment of the game. Heck the forum annoyed me for many months for reasons I will keep to myself but I was glad it was here when I couldn't stand one more day of reading of "the orange one" in the news.

So to sum up for all those tl;dr folks. My answer to all the changes both good and bad is to take the good with the bad, to believe Frisco when he says that Supercell doesn't hate us and to give them the benefit of the doubt until I can't anymore. Then I will vote with my feet and accept that all things change and when I can't handle the changes, I'll try to find something else. And before the charge gets leveled that I am saying that people shouldn't complain, ask for new features or should find another game etc. That's not what I am saying. Each one of us deals with conflict in our own way. I would only ask that we treat each other the way we would like to be treated and take the high road.

Tiggerr has made some excellent points. I do wish everyone would chill a bit.

However, I also wish Frisco had responded more directly to posts about longstanding requests. I'm relatively new, but I've read tons of repeated requests for certain updates and fixes.

I think much of the frustration stems from the silence over these requests. The sticky in that sub-forum (https://forum.supercell.com/showthre...s-and-requests) hasn't been updated in over a year, based on the "last edited" date.

I'm glad Frisco acknowledged this post, at least we know they are listening. Here's hoping the next update features updates to game features we ALREADY HAVE. I feel this last update with the sanctuary was a real let down. Let's improve what we got now!!
