Why take anything to Discord? Why not leave it on the forums where it belongs?

Uhh, why do people have so much problem with Discord? For the hundredth time, discord makes things easy. And we are not taking anything away from forums.. isn't posting refined ideas on the forums better than non-quality posts?

I think it got moved here cos it was mostly discussing a sub forum state rather than a Game feature.

Anyways back on topic,

I think in order to revive IFR from unofficial point of view we need to have a group which more active in the forum than in the discord. An active group here will gain tractions and can easily be seen by forumers here. Other than that, keep the group open (I still see moderation is required and henced I didn't join it till now). If a bunch of people are dedicated then certainly they can afford to deal or ignore spam posts there.

Also, try to take a personal approach. Invite as many people as you can to give it a try. Tell them stick with us for a week and if you don't like it then leave the group. Ask the members to carry the group link in their Signatures, IFR threads etc.

Sounds good... but the forum groups are pretty useless imo. One can't see the new group posts in their feed anymore (yes, it was a thing back in the day). So, people check it less frequently. Discord, on the other hand, is easier to navigate, you're notified of new changes/discussions instantly, etc. It's more fun too.

I think it's more about what you make of it.

I suggest start the group with few members. Engage them in few ideas there. Like building up a Résumé. Once you guys find that yes, the group looks solidified in terms of content..invite people to have a look at it. If they find the on going discussions there as good and creative they'll most likely stay there.
