You should try for 200 troop capacity:
    15 wizards
    20 archers
    6 dragons
    2 rage
    1 heal
It requires some practice though, but when you get it, you can wreck villages with ease
I will get on that. Definitely a pushing army, not at all cost effective haha.

I would appreciate if you guys can test this out for me, it is a good base to break into mid-level bases.
Personally, for farming, I've settled on 8 giants, 4-6 wall breakers, 20 goblins, maybe 4 minions, and the rest archers. This is with level 5 troops, around 1800-2100 trophies. I do have a King and Queen now, but only use them occasionally. I typically take 2 rage, 1 heal, and 1 lightning, but don't use the spells much. My clan castle is usually archers, sometimes a wizard or two, sometimes a few minions, occasionally a dragon; I don't use my castle much on attack though.

This army has minimal "heavies", but can actually break into the core of TH8 and some TH9, if required, especially if you have a king and/or queen available and it's worth the effort. It's also an extremely good army for collector farming at higher trophies, where typically you have to take out a King (and maybe queen), and the collectors are all behind walls or at least protected by tessla / archer towers / air defenses. I've used it succesfully this week, to raid for exlier as well as DE, and of course have made plenty of gold from it too. But mainly it's a very flexible army for TH8+, at higher trophies, where you can have a good look for bases offering 200k+ of each, often 250k+ of each as well as DE.

I'm a brand new TH9, and have been farming elixer for the last 7 days. This army has made me over 12M elixer profit (enough for 2 camp upgrades, level 1 DE drill, 6M for giants to level 6, and a few upgrades of my new gold storage), about 20K DE (getting close to the 25k for level 3 queen), and as I've had no spells for 5 of the 7 days I've also probably made a heap of gold (no idea how much, probably about 10M - I've got my 50 new walls all up to level 7, some of my old walls to level 8 i.e. skull, and got all the new defenses built to level 1 including 1M for a new tessla). As I only make a couple of raids in the morning, and then a few hours in the evening, that's a pretty good result given I'm TH9 with TH8 troops, and am a good donator to my clan (usually archers and minions, if I'm saving hard for elixer and DE).

Note: I found gold 1 to be pretty barren, once I got towards Crystal I've found the loot much better. Possibly just the weekly cycle of poor loot mid-week, but typically I do find it easier to find good offers once I've got the Crystal badge (and the better loot bonus helps, too - sometimes you can TH snipe, but generally nearly all of my "farming" raids I do actualy aim for 50%).

yeh usually use 12 giants and switch in the 4 for gobs/barbs but just fine the more giants you add the heavier bases you can take on. At the moment using BAM and getting great loot at 1,300+

What worked great for me was 60 barbarians and the rest archers. This was awesome for collector raids and was good enough to break into most cores at 1400 trophies.

If I really want to take the core of a heavier base, I thrown down my king with the giants, and some rage. In my earlier days, I always used 12 giants minimum, but over time I've found the more you have the more you tend to waste them, which means you've got less archers to actually pick up the loot. And giants are not cheap. Anyway, just sayin', I try and use less giants now as I try and use less brute force and a bit more finesse in my farming. When trophy hunting, I prefer a golem over giants anyway, although with level 6 giants that might change a bit... In the end, it's not just the army, it's how you use it - less giants means you can't just throw a bunch down at once, you have to be really considered in how you deploy everything.

Yep; personally I haven't been down there since TH7, but I'd agree.

I tried my level 5 barbs around 1800, and it worked OK but generally I've always found a few Giants are better than Barbs at 1800+ trophies - they just tank better against what is usually decent-enough defenses at the edge.

What would you recommend for a farming army for a TH4, 75 housing, and 700 trophies?
    Currently using:
    6 Giants
    2 Wallbreakers Lvl 2
    3 Goblins
    21 Archers Lvl 2
    17 Barbs Lvl 2

    CC:
    10 Archers/2 Balloons

For TH4, I had best success using just goblins and barbarians - fill one barrack with each. Or just 100% barbarians. Pick easy bases, and your storages are overflowing in no time. I never really used my clan castle, didn't need it. Giants etc were not required, and not strong enough at such low level.

Here's an example of what I acheived:

Do 3 wallbreakers, 10 barbs, 10 gobs, the rest archers. Drop the barbs as a meat shield, drop the wallbreakers to get into the vault (as most bases have down there), drop some archers, then your gobs, and (only if necessary) the rest of your archers.

    What's up all

First wanted to say this is encyclopedia is an AWESOME idea!! I've been having a lot of fun checking out all these different strategies. Mad props to whoever came up with this..

So Im a th10. Right now my troop and spell levels look like this. Ive got: Level 6 - archers, barbs, giants, balloons, lightning and healing spells. Level 5 - gobs, wb's, wizards, minions and rage spells. Level 4 - Healers. Level 3 - Dragons. Level 2 - Pekka. I've also got a level 11 AQ and a level 10 Bk, but its becoming super expensive to keep upgrading those..

I've been using the same army composition for forever now and was hoping to get some good new ideas to work with. Given my troop and spell levels, what would be some good strategies to try out?? I'm only looking to farm, don't care about trophies right now.

One of the biggest problems I have is when I search for a base to attack, it costs 1k every base I pass up on, but the bases I'm seeing are all like 40/60ish and not worth it. I usually have to search thru about 20-30 (maybe more) to find anything with enough loot worth attacking, and then those bases are always stacked. (Xbows, inf towers, etc.) it's very annoying...
