Either way. We could test both too, just so they are indexed. If anyone is curious it'll be there.

    Just a random fun raid

    Guide:
    1. (Optional) Lightning to the AD as with all air raids.

    2. Place down all balloons as close as you can to an AD, if you have a fourth spell use a rage spell.

    3. Place down dragons behind balloons about 5 seconds later.

    4. Place down CC troops (balloons if you can) and BK.

    Summary:
This is by far my favorite composition for trophy pushing, and I wanted to share it with you guys. Obviously it is expensive and takes a while, but you can easily earn your loot back and you can two and three star well developed Town Hall 8 bases quite easily with a Town Hall 7 max. Do not farm with this, that is pretty obvious.

The problem was not enough hogs to tank or take down defenses, and maybe too low level (mine are level 2). If I had level 4+ hogs, might have worked better, but still I suspect not enough hitpoints, and at only around 7 hogs that's not enough if they can't tank as well as a giant.

Overall, I was underwhelamed, and have moved back to Giants, Archers and Minions (sometimes with 4-6 WB). I did mave some luck with partly-protected TH, where the hogs got at the tessla etc behind walls easier than giants would have, but again their lack of durability, and lack of numbers, was their downfall.

p.s. I'm without spells while upgrading my spell factory, although I don't think that's a big deal as I'm mainly farming and would not typically use spells with these kinds of troops, except maybe a lightning if 25+ archers unexpectedly pop out of the CC...
I decided to try this attack so here it is with pictures.

    Not getting very far

    Guide:
    1. Place all troops as close to town hall (hopefully exposed) as you can

    2. Hope for the best

    Summary:
Don't use this for farming or trophy hunting. The cost in DE will never be made up, the saving grace in this attack was my archers (Pushed me past 20%). If this base were super exposed, then my archers and minions would have dominated, but the hogs would be useless (Not that they helped much). However, this was quite fun to do, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I would never use it in a serious raid, but it did get me some trophies.

    Lightning (X2) on the mortar...

A few barbs to distract nearby defense towers...

    Some Wallbreakers...

Throwing in the rest of the barbs...

    Now for the giants...

    Lemme see those healers...

    Archers to clean up...

    Enjoy

    Guide:
This army is great for a cheap trophy pushing comp. I would say it maxes out around 2000, although this raid at around 1850 was on a weaker base for this count (average Town Hall 8). I recommend this one to the average Town Hall 7 looking to help his/her clan in their push who still wants to make some profit. Go for it.

    Thumbs Up

    Great thread!

You should try for 200 troop capacity:
    15 wizards
    20 archers
    6 dragons
    2 rage
    1 heal
It requires some practice though, but when you get it, you can wreck villages with ease

    1. First, take out the nearest mortar to the selected drop-zone with two lightning spells (3 spells if it will take out 2 mortars)(Optional).

    2. Place all barbs down around drop-zone to use as meat shields, in an area about as long as your thumb, or two inches long.

    3. Wait about ten seconds and then place most archers about an inch behind where you dropped your barbs, saving about twenty.

    4. Wait a few seconds till you are around 40 percent, then drop minions where you dropped your archers. Drop in a large swathe, maybe 3 inches long on an iPhone and 5 on an iPad.

    5. (If possible) Drop clan castle troops and barb king to maximize damage.

    Summary:
This is a very cheap, quick, and effective farming army. It creates a huge profit, especially due to the low cost. As Professor Oak, leader of my clan says, more than one million gold per hour is do-able with this army. I highly recommend this for the average TH7 farmer.

*Note: Experiences may vary, play around with the deployment strategy to suit your style.
Yeh I see why you deployed all your troops to show the power f this army and I hope this thread does take off and become awesome!

I hardly ever deploy all of my troops... I usually use about 75 barbs and 50 archers per raid, and a few minions every now and then.

Another thing: the minions should not deployed every raid. They should be saved for use as a cleanup crew only when necessary.

This is a good guide, though. Just remember to conserve as many troops as possible.
I agree with most and I use about 40 barbs&archers &10-20 minions per battle.
I don't agree with you on the don't use minions every battle though. If collectors are over walls its is much more time-efficient to drop 5 minions than use 15+ archers&barbs to get that collector over the wall. With this army you have to be willing to lose to use as little troops as possible so to solve this you can have a hybrid base to keep cups or add TH snipes to your normal search.

However, since the update, collector loot has been pretty weak and I've been finding myself trying to break into more cores for the 200k. BAM doesn't seem like the most effective army for consistently breaching cores, so I've been running a simple giant/healer and not dropping the healer when I can avoid it.

Have you guys modified your armies post-update? Ay ideas on what the curve is like for the return to normal levels of collector loot?

    H
I only just got back my collector raids and before that but after update to crack to cores i used
    16 giants
    12 wall breakers
    32 goblins
    40 archers
    32 barbarians
I would appreciate if you guys can test this out for me, it is a good base to break into mid-level bases.
