I can only speak for myself but it am sure I'm not the only one hoping u would continue posting your designs. I've been using your th8 farming base for some time and have gotten great results. I know it must be time consuming on your half but even just a few pics of current designs and results would be appreciated. I hate to be a bother but you dangled the carrot! Lol

Recently I'm very busy with my work so I hardly have time to play. But since there is some interest, let me see what I can do.

I will switch back to my TH9 farming design over the weekend when I can find time. After that, I will leave it at 2300-2400 for a week for testing and hopefully I can get some serious raids other than TH snipe. I will post the base and the battle log after that.

Hopefully it will be usefu to you and others.

The bases look real solid bud, the only thing I would suggest is make more funneling. Funneling will help a lot when attacker does a full on attack especially when using giants.

Thanks Palalay for your comments. I used to use outside funneling as well. Loved to see those giants flying. But as time goes by, when I used giants myself, I will look out for these "openings" in the bases I going to raid. Most of the time, these "openings" will be armed with traps and I do not like to see my giants flying around. As such, I will always purposely make a hole with wb at the side with no funnels and enter the base from there. Definitely less spring traps there.

Because of that, I gradually stop using outside funneling in my own base designs. I started to use inside funnelling(spring traps betweeen defense in the same compartment). This will definitely hit the giants regardless of which direction the giants enters, also it will hit the hogs too if they are placed correctly.

After spending months in TH8, I realized that TH8 just do not have the firepower to stop a good lv 6 army with 3-4 spells. Traps are very important to the TH8 and well placed traps means losing just one storage or all three storage. If you are good with your base design, you can even entice most of your raiders to enter from a certain direction. With that, you can focus 80% of your traps there and use the traps to reduce the invading raiders. How to do that without being obvious is another deep subject that require a whole new thread.

Oops, got too far away from the topic. Thank you once again for your advices. I will take note of it in my future TH9 bases.

Hi all, I'm late for the last Sunday post as my DE centric base did not work out as I thought it might. Came up with a transformer instead. Stick my TH inside since the season starts and I had already 7 def win in 5 days. I have hogs, mass dragon, giants/healers coming at me. Staying at 1800-2000 region.

-Hard to lure CC
-Mortar, WT, AD in triangle formation
-Spring traps and giant bombs strategic placed to catch those pesky hogs

Hey Lim81! Long time lurker here. Decided to try out your base to see how well it holds up. I'm about 3/4 MAX TH8 and so far(a few days) it's been holding up well. In the recent clan war a mass drag attack was good for only 47% or so against me, so it's looking promising. Anyways, thanks for a solid design and I hope to see some more from you in the future.

Amazing base, even with my 3 teslas being under construction to lvl 6 i only get elixir stoled which i dont care at this point

I was searching for a good base for town hall 8, and all I found were Junliang and pingfao's bases. Don't get me wrong, those bases are better than anything I will ever make but I just wanted to try out something different. So I have tried out each of your bases at a one week interval and I am quite satisfied with them. Didn't know your base will allow me to sleep peacefully knowing most of my storages will be protected the next morning. Keep up the good work!

I did the same thing you did. i tried juliangs bases and pingafoes, hell i even tried the tempest...but like you said...they
are very good bases, and I wanted to try something new..thats when i found Lims awesome th8 base desing!!!!! I even sleep peacefully too lol
