    The only way to eliminate the strategic advantages of heavily engineered games is to use a base weight for each TH level, then a secondary weight built on top of that for defensive and offensive development. I get that there’s significant variability among clans, but you have to start from a base score then expand the search from there. It would make sense to also give clan leaders the option of deciding just how far they want the search to expand.

    Variability and statistical analysis would go a long way here....

    A good matchmaking algorithm if weighing things correctly really would have no need of a base weight for a town hall. Merely weighing those things that give the next town hall the advantage over the lower town hall enough would make it so town hall level wouldn't matter in the mma. Sc probably figures this as well it is just Sc fails to do this properly. We as players know what these things are. Defensively what these advantage are is obvious. Supercell has always failed to weigh ths offensive side correctly in conjunction with the defensive. A good mma would understand how valuable a warden and max bowitch troops are in war and weigh them properly they just don't.

    This is totally correct, but after this long I've given up on thinking that will happen in time. Minimum weight would be a nice improvement.

Caution, I often discuss for the sake of discussion and enjoy having my opinion challenged (or approved of) even when I care little about the actual issue. My balance wish: get rid of tornado trap, make it a decoration.

    Search time definitely longer. Same lineup as last several war. Monday search was 5 minutes

    Not sure exactly what you guys did with the new update that came along with the (waste of time) BH7 update... But we searched for 5.5h without a match last night, 4 searches lasting an hour followed by the last one at 1.5h
    We run no engineered accounts, with a BD of 5/8/12. Had to suspend war as it would conflict with our arranged/league schedule otherwise. We never had an issue with lengthy search times before this update, so hopefully it's the new algo at work trying for a fair match (trying to stay optimistic here)

    1st war match after the update
    Us 2-11, 2-10, 5-9, 1-8
    Them 4-11,3-10, 2-9,1-3

    Their war log looks terrible hope we don’t end up being their easy win.

    Matchmaker seems to have malfunctioned. We will try a 15 man next.

    Im not holding my breath... How many years have they known there is an obvious problem and continued to do nothing about it. We will see.

    First war after update:
    Us 3 th11, 1 th10. Them 2 th10.
    Seems like it's working for at least half of players

    We usually face an unfair match due to the extra th11 offense power on our opponent side, but we got the defense advantage.

    After the update... our max th8 are against max th9(offense and defense) , and our rushed th7 are against max th8, 8.5 (offense and defense).

    The new algorithm isn’t better at all.
