Look up sharp's YouTube channel "unitysharp23"

And nope dual healers-minions is a lot for air defenses to deal with plus the raids happen FAST as you spam your troops very fast towards DE storages just watch his vids you'll see (:
Not a good example, attacking a premature TH10 with pink walls?

btw I'm not saying it can't be done, it can be done but not easy and you have it pick easy targets, I know because that's how I got all my DE... not using unitysharp method either...

I can farm gold of anyone my level or higher just is not efficient since I would require longer training time army.
And yes lower town really should start raiding for their dark elixir is not that hard

It is true that with proper raiding with some spells, one can nett 2-3k DE per raid. This can be done with a 30 minutes army which translate into 4-6k DE per hour.

I personally only raid drills or DE storage behind just 1 or 2 layers of walls with normal farming army with no spells at 1800-2000 trophy. That is 500-2000 per raid. This can be done multiple time in an single hour and how much you yield also greatly depends on your luck. I can yield as little as only 1000 DE per hour or as much as 5000 per hour.

Lightning DE itself is also a method of farming for DE. There is totally nothing wrong with it. Just that raiding might yield more though its not 100% success rate for all raids. Lightning yield lesser DE per hour at 100% success rate.

There is no right or wrong in any method. Only difference in those methods are the yield per hour. As long as you are ok with the amount you are getting, just do what you feel comfortable with.

Enjoy farming for your DE (with what ever your preferred method).

P.S. I am personally having over 70k of DE as I am waiting to upgrade to my next TH soon. I'm sitting around 1700-1800 region and only got hit by lightning just once over 2 weeks. Luckily he was kind enough to grant me shield. So if any lightning users do come across my base, feel free to lightning but please be kind enough to drop 2 barb or archers to kill my TH too. Many thanks

I never use lightning to farm DE mainly because it's not very efficient and I love my gold. As much as I hate losing DE when trying to save up, I acknowledge that it's a perfectly legitimate tactic for farming, and everyone including myself are free to use it. In fact, I look forward to revenging people who lightning me

I am absolutely gobsmacked that this thread is continuing. Lightning strike armies are no different to BA or BAM. Well one costs elixir and the other costs coins. But apart from that, they are both legitimate methods of attacking.
Drinkin' Coffee and farming for skull walls is what I do

Last night, a TH10 (lvl 109) was gunning straight for my DE, although the most he could loot was only 1000.

My CC troops handled him a resounding 29 cup loss, and this morning I zapped him for an additional 1300 DE loss.

That should teach him a lesson.

Nothing wrong with lighting the de, i will let my quote speak for me:

"You are free to choose how to attack, but you are not free from the consequences"

+1 to this post. If anything, farming way lower levels should somehow be fixed

Yeah, and the consequence is that you can max you BK and DE troops...

All the threats you read about in this forum about 3-starring and whatnot simply does not happen very much in real life.
